Supplying Slovakia, in detail

What cycle data should a Slovak press shop send with a hose enquiry?

Cycles per hour, the working pressure, the bend radius the installation actually imposes and the planned service interval. A press line runs to a takt time, so the number to design against is cycle life rather than burst pressure. With those figures we issue a cycle-life statement against the line at quotation, or say plainly that a catalogue item will not reach the interval.

Can you quote a call-off against our line schedule instead of single orders?

Yes. Give us the consumption and the service interval and we quote a call-off with consignments timed to the planned maintenance windows, rather than a string of single orders. On a takt-time line the useful thing is predictability, not the lowest unit price. The 20–27 day lane via Koper sets how far ahead each call-off is released.

Can you label assemblies to our station list for planned replacement?

Yes. On a line running to takt, the cheapest hose is the one replaced in a planned window, which works only if the assemblies for a station arrive identified, interchangeable and complete. We build and label to your station list rather than to individual part numbers, so one intervention covers the station and nothing is matched up on the shop floor.

Do low-pressure return and pilot hoses on a press line need CE marking?

Not if the assembly falls below the pressure-volume threshold in PED 2014/68/EU — sound engineering practice applies and there is no mark. Higher-pressure assemblies above the threshold carry CE marking, with a declaration of conformity issued by us as the assembler that travels with the goods. A station set often contains both, and the quotation identifies each line.

When does Danube barge from Constanța make sense for Slovakia?

For project and heavy cargo — a large press component, a skid or oversized items that are awkward on the road. The barge runs from Constanța up the Danube to Bratislava in about 26–34 days in total. For line consumables Koper and road, at 20–27 days, is faster, and we say at quotation which suits the order.

Does a delivery to Košice or Žilina still come through Koper?

Koper is the default gate for Slovakia, with the road move up through Austria. Hamburg is used where the northern gate suits the delivery point better, and for eastern and northern Slovakia we compare the two against the town at quotation. Either way the goods clear once at the port, and the onward leg is domestic movement priced with the order on DAP terms.

Is it quicker to fly an urgent part into Vienna than into Bratislava?

Sometimes, because Vienna has more connections. Air freight runs from DXB to either Bratislava or Vienna, typically 2–4 days, followed by a short road leg — the two airports are about an hour apart. We book whichever gets the part to your line first, and the quotation names the routing.

Can you supply cylinder and servo-valve spares for the Košice rolling lines?

Yes — high-force cylinder spares, servo and proportional valves, hose assemblies and fittings for rolling, coating and finishing lines. Hot-mill duty adds radiant heat and scale to pressure, so we specify sleeving and covers to the position rather than the catalogue. Send the equipment, the valve or cylinder data plate and the circuit details with the enquiry.

Do you supply lock-gate and turbine-governor hydraulics for Gabčíkovo and the Váh plants?

Yes — hose assemblies, fittings and valves for lock-gate, sluice, governor and actuator circuits on the Danube barrage and the Váh hydro plants, specified for wet, cold and long-interval duty. Send the circuit pressure, fluid and the existing assembly markings, and we quote against them with sea freight via Koper or air freight into Bratislava when a unit is out of service.

Our Slovak company imports through Koper — who files the customs entry?

The importer, at Koper or Hamburg on arrival. Slovakia is inside the customs union, so goods are entered into free circulation once at the port and then move to Slovakia as domestic movement. Before dispatch we prepare the Dubai Chamber attested Certificate of Origin, the PED declaration for any assembly above threshold and our REACH position on the elastomer compounds.

What hose survives magnesite plant dust in the Gemer region?

Hose with an abrasion-resistant cover, routed and sleeved so it does not rub, because fine mineral dust wears the cover long before the pressure rating matters. Kiln and processing areas add heat. Tell us the position, temperature and cycle rate, and we specify dust-rated assemblies and fittings for magnesite, limestone and cement plant rather than standard workshop hose.
