Pick the termination for the rope and the duty
A spelter socket, poured correctly, develops the full breaking strength of the rope and is the termination for heavy lifting and structural rope. Swage terminals are pressed onto the rope with the right die; swageless terminals are assembled by hand and suit cable railing and rigging where a press is not available. Match every terminal to the rope diameter and construction it is made for.
Questions we get asked
About this range
- 01What is the difference between an open and a closed spelter socket?
- An open socket ends in a jaw with a pin, so it connects straight to a lug or plate; a closed socket ends in an eye that takes a shackle or pin. Both are filled with resin or zinc to bond the broomed rope end.
- 02Do the parts come with test certificates?
- Yes. Each consignment ships with the manufacturer's test certificate. If your site needs more — third-party certification or witnessed proof testing — say so on the RFQ and we will confirm what we can arrange.

Delivery
Sockets & Terminals across the Gulf
Ex-stock from Dubai, delivered within 3 working days in the UAE.
Rigging hardware is bought on its working load limit and its certificate, and both travel with the part: every shackle, hook, chain and sling ships from Dubai with the manufacturer's test certificate, so the receiving inspection checks a document against a stamp rather than a claim. Hardware and fittings go by air or courier in cartons; wire rope, chain, hoists and anchors are heavy enough that sea freight is usually the sensible answer.
