Lubricants
Industrial specialty lubricants work where ordinary oil and grease fail: extreme temperature, very high load, chemical attack, food contact, vacuum and assembly. Indus supplies the Molykote range from Dubai — greases, pastes, anti-friction coatings, oils and fluids, dispersions and silicone compounds — including NSF H1-registered food-grade grades, matched to the application rather than sold by name.
Choose by the condition the lubricant must survive
Start from what is failing. Greases suit bearings, slides and gears; pastes loaded with molybdenum disulphide (MoS₂) or metal-free solids protect threads, press fits and run-in surfaces under very high load; anti-friction coatings leave a dry, clean film where oil would collect dirt; silicone compounds seal, release and insulate. Then check the temperature range, compatibility with the plastics, elastomers and process medium it will touch, and whether food contact needs NSF H1. Send the application and the product used now.
NSF H1, NLGI grade and viscosity
Lubricants for incidental food contact are registered by NSF as H1; Molykote's FM (food machinery) grades are made for that duty. Greases are described by NLGI consistency grade, from 000 (fluid) to 6 (block), and by thickener and base oil — mineral, synthetic hydrocarbon, silicone or perfluoropolyether (PFPE). Oils and fluids are graded by ISO VG or kinematic viscosity in cSt. Each product page gives the manufacturer's temperature range and data.

Delivery
Lubricants across the Gulf
Ex-stock from Dubai, delivered within 3 working days in the UAE.
Lubricants are the one part of this catalogue where the packaging decides the route: some greases and compounds carry a transport classification that rules out ordinary air freight, and pack size changes the answer as much as chemistry does. We will tell you which applies before you commit to a mode. Batch numbers and technical data sheets travel with the consignment from Dubai, which is what a plant lubrication schedule needs on file.

Questions we get asked
About this range
- 01What is Molykote?
- Molykote is a brand of specialty lubricants, now owned by DuPont, that began with molybdenum disulphide (MoS₂) lubricants and today covers greases, pastes, anti-friction coatings, oils, dispersions and silicone compounds for industrial, automotive and food-processing machinery.
- 02Grease, paste or anti-friction coating — what is the difference?
- A grease is oil held in a thickener; it stays where it is put and suits bearings, slides and gears that move continuously. A paste carries a high load of solid lubricant and protects surfaces under extreme pressure, slow movement, assembly and high temperature, where grease would squeeze out. An anti-friction coating is a bonded dry film, sprayed or dipped like paint, that lubricates without attracting dirt and lasts the life of many parts.
- 03Which Molykote products are food grade?
- The FM (food machinery) grades — for example G-4500 and G-4501 multi-purpose synthetic greases, G-0060 FM white grease and L-1605FM barrier fluid — are made for food and beverage plants and carry NSF H1 registration for incidental food contact. Registration is held product by product, so confirm it on the data sheet of the exact grade and pack you order.
- 04Which paste stops stainless steel threads from galling?
- A metal-free anti-seize paste. Molykote P-37 is made for stainless steel and high-nickel alloys at very high temperature, where copper or nickel-containing pastes are not wanted; MoS₂ pastes such as G-n are used for assembly and run-in at more moderate temperatures. Apply a thin film to both threads and to the nut face, and use the torque figure for a lubricated thread.
- 05Which grease survives very high temperature?
- For the highest temperatures and aggressive chemicals, a perfluoropolyether (PFPE) grease such as Molykote HP-300, HP-500 or HP-870. Silicone greases such as Molykote 41 cover high-temperature bearings at lighter loads, and chemical-resistant greases such as 3451 suit bearings exposed to solvents and fuels. The data sheet gives each grade's service range.
- 06Are silicone greases safe on rubber seals and O-rings?
- On most elastomers — nitrile, EPDM and fluorocarbon — yes, which is why silicone greases such as Molykote 55 and 111 are used on O-rings and valve seals. The exception is silicone rubber: silicone grease can swell it, so use a non-silicone lubricant on silicone seals.
- 07Can you match another lubricant to a Molykote grade?
- Usually. Send the data sheet of the product you use now — from Klüber, Mobil, Loctite or another maker — and the application. We match on base oil, thickener, NLGI grade, solids, temperature range and approvals such as NSF H1, and say where a match is close rather than exact so it can be trialled first.

Anti-friction coatings explained: dry-film lubricants, cure temperatures and where they beat grease
An anti-friction coating is lubricant applied like paint and cured into a dry film. What is in one, why the cure temperature decides where it can be used, and the jobs where a coating outlasts any grease.

Anti-seize and assembly pastes: what the solids do and what the temperature rating means
A paste is for the surfaces a grease cannot protect: threads under torque, press fits and bolts that must come apart after years at temperature. How anti-seize and assembly pastes differ, and how to read a 1,400 °C rating.
