JIS 30° or BSP

A JIS 30° fitting has a BSP parallel thread with a 30° flare seat, so it threads onto a BSPP part but seals on the flare. Check the seat angle before ordering: a 30° seat does not seal against a 37° JIC or a 60° BSP cone.

Thread and seat

The JIS 30° connection uses BSP parallel threads (ISO 228-1). The adapters' other ends follow SAE J514 (JIC), SAE J1453 (ORFS) and SAE J1926 (ORB).
