What is the sailing time for a container from Jebel Ali to Point Lisas?

Typically 30–38 days by sea from dispatch for a full container through Suez and across the Atlantic. LCL takes 38–48 days because it is consolidated and transhipped, so it suits small mixed orders rather than a turnaround with a fixed start date. Air freight from DXB to Piarco runs 4–7 days with connections, for the line that is down.

Why buy from Dubai when Houston is closer to Trinidad?

For anything urgent, Houston is closer and that is the honest answer. What we compete on is the planned order against a specification — API-monogrammed assemblies, sour-service material with traceable documentation, spiral hose and crimp fittings held as real stock rather than ordered against a turnaround date. A consignment planned five weeks ahead of the work arrives with its paperwork complete.

Which suits our delivery, Point Lisas or Port of Spain?

Point Lisas for the industrial estate at Couva and anything heading to the ammonia, methanol and iron plants; Port of Spain for general cargo and the city. Name the delivery point rather than the island, because CIF Point Lisas and DAP to a site in the north are different quotations, and the road leg from either port is priced with the order.

Can cargo for Guyana or Suriname be staged through Trinidad?

Yes, and a good deal of what lands here does exactly that. Say so at quotation, because a consignment declared for import and then re-exported is a more expensive route to the same place than one documented for onward movement from the start. The operator specification for the onward base is confirmed line by line before the container is loaded, the same as for Trinidad itself.

Is TTBS conformity required for hose and fittings imported into Trinidad?

Only where a line falls inside the defined list regulated by the Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards; much industrial hose and fittings falls outside it, and we check per product at quotation. What matters more here is the operator's own specification. The rest of the file is the importer's declaration through the Customs and Excise Division and the Dubai Chamber attested certificate of origin.

Do you supply API 6A and 16C pressure-control equipment for Trinidad's offshore gas fields?

Yes. API 6A wellhead, API 16A BOP, API 16C choke and kill and API 7K drilling hose, with the manufacturer's monogram and licence documentation and NACE MR0175 material documentation where the contract requires it. We supply TechnipFMC, Cameron (SLB), SPM, Anson, Stream-Flo and WOM equipment, confirmed against the operator's specification line by line.

Can flow iron and hose be delivered to the Galeota Point supply base?

Yes, on DAP terms to the base gate. The road leg down the east coast from Point Lisas or Port of Spain is priced, not estimated, and the delivery is planned against the vessel or campaign date you give us. Assemblies can be tagged per line so the shore base can match each one to its equipment on arrival.

Which fittings are safe for ammonia service at the Point Lisas plants?

Steel and stainless, not brass. Copper alloys suffer stress corrosion cracking in ammonia service and fail suddenly with little warning, and brass is the default material for many couplings and adapters, so it is an easy specification to get wrong. Seals and gaskets need the same check. Where a line list mixes ammonia duty with ordinary duty, mark which items go where and we quote them separately.

Do you supply for LNG and gas-processing plant at Point Fortin?

Yes — valves, flanged adapters, hose and fittings for maintenance on gas liquefaction and processing plant, delivered DAP to the plant gate in the south-west or CIF Point Lisas. Gas and low-temperature service change the material and seal choices, so give us the medium, temperature and pressure class for each line and the plant's material requirement; mill certificates travel with the consignment where it calls for them.

What certificates come with slings and shackles for Trinidad's offshore bases?

Each sling, shackle, hook and chain fitting ships with the manufacturer's test certificate and its working load limit marked, and rigging can share a container with hose and flow iron. Any further inspection the operator or the base requires before gear goes offshore is confirmed at quotation, so it is built into the plan rather than discovered at Chaguaramas or Galeota.

What should a Trinidad line list include for an accurate quote?

Part numbers or specifications, quantities, the operator's specification references, which items are in sour, ammonia or ordinary service, and the delivery point — Point Lisas, Port of Spain, Galeota or site. Say whether anything moves on to Guyana or Suriname. We quote on CIF Point Lisas, DAP to site, FOB Jebel Ali or EXW Dubai, and confirm the document set at quotation.
