Stainless Steel BSP & Metric Adapters
British Standard Pipe and metric adapters in stainless steel, for joining BSP and metric ports to JIC and NPT lines.
BSPP or BSPT
BSPP (parallel) ports seal on a bonded seal, O-ring or cone seat, not on the thread; BSPT (taper) threads seal on the flanks like NPT. The two have the same pitch but do not interchange. Use a bonded seal with a BSPP male stud.
ISO 228-1 and ISO 7-1
BSPP threads are defined by ISO 228-1 and BSPT by ISO 7-1. Metric dual-purpose ends take a DIN 2353 tube nut or fit a metric port.

Delivery
Stainless Steel BSP & Metric Adapters across the Gulf
Ex-stock from Dubai, delivered within 3 working days in the UAE.
Hose and fittings are the bulk of what leaves this warehouse, and they travel well: a crated batch of assemblies with its crimp records, or a box of adapters on an airway bill. Buyers outside the UAE usually order to a measured list rather than to a part number, because a hose is defined by its ends, its length and its route rather than by a code. Send those and we will quote against them.

Questions we get asked
About this range
- 01Are these 316 stainless?
- Most families are 316L stainless steel, forged; each listing states the grade the manufacturer gives. Where a listing says stainless steel without a grade, ask and we will confirm before you order.
- 02Do the listings show dimensions and equivalents?
- Yes, where the manufacturer publishes them. Every size is listed with its end sizes; most also carry millimetre dimensions and the Parker part number the manufacturer cross-references.
- 03What does dual-purpose mean on a stainless JIC × metric adapter?
- The metric male end can take a DIN 2353 tube nut and cutting ring on its 24° cone, or screw into a metric port with a seal. One part therefore connects a JIC line to either a metric tube or a metric port. Fit a bonded seal or the specified seal when it goes into a port; it is not needed for the tube connection.
- 04When should I choose a Viton bonded seal?
- When the joint runs hot or carries a fluid that attacks nitrile, such as many synthetic and phosphate-ester fluids. A Viton (FKM) ring in a stainless washer suits higher temperatures than standard nitrile. Check the fluid against the seal maker’s compatibility chart; FKM is not suitable for every fluid either.
- 05Why use a stainless bonded seal rather than a standard one?
- Because the metal ring of a standard bonded seal is carbon steel, and in a stainless joint exposed to water or salt air it will rust and pit the faces it seals against. A stainless ring keeps the whole joint in one material. Replace bonded seals each time the joint is remade.
- 06What is a countersunk sealed plug?
- A plug whose head sits recessed, flush with the port face, sealed by a Viton seal rather than a taper thread. Use it where a projecting hex head would foul something; use a hex head plug where clearance allows easier removal. Match the plug to the port thread — BSPP or metric.
