Lay Flat Hoses
Lay flat hose rolls flat on a reel, runs out in lengths up to 400 m and recovers for the next job. We supply TPU, NBR and PVC lay flat hose from 1" to 16" for mine dewatering, frac water, borehole risers, fuel, drinking water, concrete and slurry, single- and double-jacket fire hose, and rigid-helix suction hose for the pump inlet.
Choosing
TPU, NBR or PVC?
TPU is the strongest choice: extruded through the jacket in one pass, it carries the highest pressures (up to 85 bar on concrete hose), resists abrasion when dragged and comes in the longest lengths. NBR (nitrile rubber) resists oil and fuel residue and is rated 10 bar in every size — a good all-round dewatering and discharge hose. PVC is the light, low-cost option for clean water at low pressure. Lay flat hose collapses under vacuum, so pump suction needs a rigid-helix suction hose.

Delivery
Lay Flat Hoses across the Gulf
Ex-stock from Dubai, delivered within 3 working days in the UAE.
Lay flat hose is the easiest large-bore line to move: empty, it rolls flat, so several hundred metres travel on one reel and a container holds a whole dewatering or transfer system. It ships from Dubai as bulk coils up to 400 m or as made-up assemblies with the couplings fitted and tested, with the size table and pressure rating for each bore. Send the flow, the line length and the lift, and we will size the bore before quoting.

Questions we get asked
Lay flat hose questions
- 01What is lay flat hose?
- A hose with a woven textile jacket and a polymer tube and cover that flattens when empty. It rolls onto a reel, deploys in long continuous lengths and takes far less space than round hose or pipe.
- 02Can lay flat hose be used on pump suction?
- No. It collapses under vacuum. Use a rigid-helix suction hose on the inlet and lay flat on the discharge.
- 03Do you supply assemblies?
- Yes. We cut to length and fit Bauer, camlock, Storz, grooved or flanged couplings, banded or with expansion-ring fittings sized to the hose.
- 04How do I size a lay flat line?
- Choose the bore for the flow and allowable friction loss over the line length, then check that the hose's working pressure at that bore covers the pump's maximum pressure plus surge. Send us the flow, length and pump and we will size it.

Slurry umbilical systems explained: supply line, drag hose, reels and couplings
An umbilical system pumps slurry from the store through a hose to an applicator on the tractor — no tankers, no road trips, far less soil compaction. With low-emission spreading now required across Ireland, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands and Scotland, it is how many farms and contractors meet the rules. How the system is laid out, what each hose does, and how to choose supply line, drag hose, couplings and reels.

How to roll, recover and store lay flat hose
Lay flat hose earns its name at the end of the job: drained and rolled, a kilometre of it fits on a pallet. Rolled badly or stored wet, it loses a season of life. How to drain and roll hose by hand and by machine, the roll patterns that make redeployment fast, and how to store it so it comes out ready to work.

How to install flexible well riser hose: a step-by-step guide for borehole pumps
A flexible riser goes into a borehole in one length, with the pump and cable, off a reel. Done well, a two- or three-person crew installs a pump in a fraction of the time steel column pipe takes; done badly, the hose kinks, the cable chafes or the pump ends up at the bottom of the well. What to check before you start, how to fit the couplings, strap the cable, lower the string and commission it — and how to get it back out.
