PVC Lay Flat Discharge Hose

Lightweight, low-cost PVC lay flat hose for irrigation, construction site pumps and temporary low-pressure water transfer. Supplied in long continuous lengths or as made-up assemblies with couplings fitted, from Indus Hydraulics in the UAE.
Key features

- lay-flat discharge
Product description
A light, economical lay flat hose for low-pressure water: irrigation, discharge from construction-site and trash pumps, pool and tank draining, and other temporary transfer where oil resistance and high pressure are not needed. It is odourless, easy to carry, and rolls flat for storage and transport.
Construction
- Tube and cover: PVC
- Reinforcement: woven polyester
- Colour: blue
When to choose PVC
- Clean water at low pressure
- Temporary or seasonal lines where cost matters most
- Light enough for one person to run out and roll up
For oily water, abrasive ground or higher pressure, choose the NBR or TPU lay flat hoses in this range.
Pressure and sizes
A per-size pressure table is not published for this hose. Tell us the bore, length and pump and we will confirm the rating before quoting.
Installation and care
- Unroll the hose fully and lay it out straight before pressurising; a hose pressurised on the reel or with twists can kink and burst.
- Run it along the shortest practical route, away from sharp edges and hot surfaces, and protect it with hose ramps where vehicles cross.
- Raise and lower pressure gradually. Closing a valve suddenly on a long line causes a surge that can exceed the working pressure.
- Stay within the working pressure of the size in use; burst pressure is a test figure, never an operating limit.
- After use, drain the hose, flush it if it carried slurry, fuel or concrete, and roll it flat from the far end to push out what is left.
- Store coils out of direct sunlight and away from sharp objects, and inspect the cover and coupling bands before each deployment.
How to order
Quote the Indus part number, or send the bore, the length you need, the fluid and the end connections. We supply bulk coils or made-up assemblies with couplings fitted and banded. Price and lead time are confirmed with the quotation.

Lay flat hose for irrigation: supply mains, drip sub-mains, and PVC vs TPU
Spain irrigates 3.7 million hectares, and more than half of it by drip. Between the pump and the drip tape there is a lot of hose — supply mains across the farm and sub-mains along the head of every block. Where lay flat fits in an irrigation system, how to choose between PVC and TPU, how to size mains and sub-mains, and how to make seasonal hose last more than a season.

TPU vs NBR vs PVC lay flat hose: which cover material, for which job
Three materials make almost every lay flat hose sold today. TPU is the strongest and lasts longest when dragged; nitrile rubber shrugs off oil and is rated 10 bar in every size; PVC is light and cheap for clean, low-pressure water. Here is how they compare on pressure, abrasion, oil, temperature, weight and cost — and how to choose.

Construction dewatering hose in the GCC: wellpoints, deep wells and the discharge line
Across much of the Gulf coast the water table sits a metre or two below the surface, and in Doha, Jeddah and Kuwait City it has been rising. Almost every basement, tunnel and utility trench has to be dewatered. How the hose system is put together — wellpoint connections, suction, header and lay flat discharge to a settlement tank — and how to size and specify each part.
