Heavy-Duty TPU Lay Flat Well Riser Hose

Reinforced TPU lay flat riser hose for heavy, continuous deep-well pumping: higher tensile strength and abrasion resistance than the standard riser, 1-1/4" to 12". Supplied in long continuous lengths or as made-up assemblies with couplings fitted, from Indus Hydraulics in the UAE.
Key features
- Application Family: lay-flat well riser
- Inner Diameter Range: 1-1/4" to 12"
- Max Working Pressure: Confirmed with quotation
- Operating Temperature: -50 °C to +80 °C (-60 °F to +176 °F)
- Application Family
- lay-flat well riser
Product description
The reinforced version of our TPU well riser hose, for wells that run continuously, carry heavy pumps or see abrasive water. A heavier jacket gives more tensile strength and a tougher cover than the standard riser, while the hose still installs from a reel in one length and pulls out the same way for pump service.
Construction
- Tube and cover: TPU, extruded through the jacket in one pass
- Reinforcement: reinforced circular-woven polyester
- Temperature: -50 °C to +80 °C
- Colour: black with a blue identification stripe, or blue
Where it fits
- Deep boreholes with heavy multistage submersible pumps
- Continuous dewatering and water-supply wells
- Sandy or abrasive groundwater that wears a standard cover
- Acidic or alkaline water that corrodes steel column pipe
Pressure and sizes
Bores from 1-1/4" to 12". A per-size pressure and tensile table is not published for this heavy-duty class; tell us the bore, pump model, setting depth and shut-off head and we will confirm the rating against your duty before quoting.
Installation and care
- Unroll the hose fully and lay it out straight before pressurising; a hose pressurised on the reel or with twists can kink and burst.
- Run it along the shortest practical route, away from sharp edges and hot surfaces, and protect it with hose ramps where vehicles cross.
- Raise and lower pressure gradually. Closing a valve suddenly on a long line causes a surge that can exceed the working pressure.
- Stay within the working pressure of the size in use; burst pressure is a test figure, never an operating limit.
- After use, drain the hose, flush it if it carried slurry, fuel or concrete, and roll it flat from the far end to push out what is left.
- Store coils out of direct sunlight and away from sharp objects, and inspect the cover and coupling bands before each deployment.
How to order
Quote the Indus part number, or send the bore, the length you need, the fluid and the end connections. We supply bulk coils or made-up assemblies with couplings fitted and banded. Price and lead time are confirmed with the quotation.

Flexible borehole riser hose vs steel column pipe: the case for lay flat rising mains
A submersible pump hangs on its rising main. Steel column pipe is strong but heavy, slow to install and prone to corrosion in saline Gulf groundwater; uPVC is light but limited. A flexible lay flat riser goes down in one length off a reel and comes out the same way. How they compare, how to size a riser for pressure and load, and how to install one.

How to install flexible well riser hose: a step-by-step guide for borehole pumps
A flexible riser goes into a borehole in one length, with the pump and cable, off a reel. Done well, a two- or three-person crew installs a pump in a fraction of the time steel column pipe takes; done badly, the hose kinks, the cable chafes or the pump ends up at the bottom of the well. What to check before you start, how to fit the couplings, strap the cable, lower the string and commission it — and how to get it back out.
