Heavy-Duty NBR Lay Flat Hose

Heavy-duty nitrile rubber lay flat hose for mine dewatering and demanding industrial fluid transfer: oil-, abrasion- and weather-resistant, polyester jacket. Supplied in long continuous lengths or as made-up assemblies with couplings fitted, from Indus Hydraulics in the UAE.

Product description
The heavy-duty member of our NBR lay flat range, for high-intensity duty such as continuous mine dewatering, pit pumping and industrial transfer where a standard discharge hose would wear through. A high-strength polyester jacket and nitrile rubber give it resistance to oil, abrasion and weather.
Construction
- Liner: NBR (nitrile rubber)
- Reinforcement: high-strength polyester
- Cover: woven polyester jacket
- Colour: orange
Where it fits
- Mine and quarry dewatering from high-head pumps
- Industrial fluid transfer with oil or fuel contamination
- Long outdoor lines exposed to sun and weather
Pressure and sizes
A per-size pressure table is not published for this line. Tell us the bore, length, pump pressure and fluid and we will confirm the size and rating before quoting.
Installation and care
- Unroll the hose fully and lay it out straight before pressurising; a hose pressurised on the reel or with twists can kink and burst.
- Run it along the shortest practical route, away from sharp edges and hot surfaces, and protect it with hose ramps where vehicles cross.
- Raise and lower pressure gradually. Closing a valve suddenly on a long line causes a surge that can exceed the working pressure.
- Stay within the working pressure of the size in use; burst pressure is a test figure, never an operating limit.
- After use, drain the hose, flush it if it carried slurry, fuel or concrete, and roll it flat from the far end to push out what is left.
- Store coils out of direct sunlight and away from sharp objects, and inspect the cover and coupling bands before each deployment.
How to order
Quote the Indus part number, or send the bore, the length you need, the fluid and the end connections. We supply bulk coils or made-up assemblies with couplings fitted and banded. Price and lead time are confirmed with the quotation.

Construction dewatering hose in the GCC: wellpoints, deep wells and the discharge line
Across much of the Gulf coast the water table sits a metre or two below the surface, and in Doha, Jeddah and Kuwait City it has been rising. Almost every basement, tunnel and utility trench has to be dewatered. How the hose system is put together — wellpoint connections, suction, header and lay flat discharge to a settlement tank — and how to size and specify each part.

Mine dewatering hose: TPU vs NBR lay flat, head, pressure and acid water
Mines pump water every hour they operate — Upper Silesia’s coal basin alone moves around half a million cubic metres a day. In open pits and temporary underground lines, lay flat hose carries much of it. How to choose between TPU and nitrile, how pit depth turns into hose pressure, what acid mine water means for the hose, and how to lay lines that survive blasting, haul roads and sharp rock.

Lay flat hose in Gulf heat: temperature ratings, UV, storage and summer site practice
UAE air temperatures passed 51 °C in 2025, and sun-baked ground runs hotter still. A lay flat hose rated to +80 °C has less margin than it seems once it lies empty on sand in July. What heat and UV do to TPU, nitrile and PVC hose, why warm water in a static line is a hygiene risk, and how to deploy, run and store hose through a Gulf summer.
