Supplying Oman, in detail

Which border crossing do you use for Oman?

Hatta–Al Wajajah for Muscat, the interior and most consignments; Khatmat Malaha where the delivery sits on the northern Batinah coast. Road freight on this lane is typically two working days from dispatch, with weekly consolidation to Muscat and Sohar, so the crossing is rarely the slow part. What holds a truck there is paperwork, usually a consignee name that does not match the commercial registration.

How long does delivery from Dubai to Muscat take?

Typically two working days from dispatch by road through Hatta–Al Wajajah. Air freight from Dubai to Muscat International (MCT) takes one day and is used when a line is down. Sea LCL from Jebel Ali to Sohar or Salalah takes five to seven days and suits heavy or oversize packages. Tell us the urgency at enquiry, because it changes which mode we quote.

What documents clear customs into Oman?

An attested Dubai Chamber Certificate of Origin, a commercial invoice and packing list made out to the consignee exactly as named on its commercial registration, and a GCC Conformity Mark for any regulated line. The import declaration (Bayan) at the crossing is filed by the consignee or its clearing agent. A name mismatch between invoice and import licence is the usual cause of a held truck, so send the CR details with the part numbers.

Do hydraulic products need a GCC Conformity Mark in Oman?

Only the regulated categories do. At quotation we mark which lines on your list fall inside the regulated scope and need the GCC Conformity Mark, and which do not, so a regulated line never ships without it and an unregulated one never carries paperwork nobody needs. Material and test certificates are separate and travel with the goods where the order calls for them.

Can you deliver to Duqm and Salalah?

Yes, on DAP terms. Both sit well south of the Hatta crossing and add a day on the inland leg, which is quoted rather than estimated. For heavy packages, LCL sea freight from Jebel Ali to Salalah takes five to seven days and avoids the long road south. For Duqm deliveries, send the site contact and gate details with the order so the final leg is not held at the gate.

Can you supply against oilfield contract specifications in Oman?

Yes. Where a contract names a standard — API 6A for wellhead equipment, API 16C for choke-and-kill lines, NACE MR0175 for sour service — we quote against it and the certification travels with the goods. We supply TechnipFMC, Cameron (SLB), SPM, Anson, Stream-Flo and WOM equipment, which matters when an operator's approved-vendor list names the manufacturer. Send the specification with the enquiry.

Can you make hose assemblies to length for delivery in Oman?

Yes. We cut, crimp and pressure-test assemblies in Dubai and ship them finished, each tagged with the hose, the fitting and the test date, so they go straight onto the machine in Sohar or the field. A repeat order comes back to the same crimp specification from the same stock. Give us the hose type, such as SAE 100R2AT or EN 856 4SH, both end fittings and the length.

Do you supply lifting slings and shackles to Oman?

Yes. Slings, shackles and rigging hardware are supplied from Dubai, marked with their working load limit and accompanied by the manufacturer's test certificates the order calls for. Inspection on site stays with your appointed lifting inspector. If the contractor's lifting plan names a certificate format, send it at quotation and we confirm the document set before the order is placed.

Is it worth ordering small quantities from Dubai into Oman?

Usually, yes. Oman is the shortest lane we run, and the freight on a small consignment is low enough that ordering what you need when you need it often costs less than batching and holding stock. There is no minimum on stock items. Where several lines are ready together, one consignment keeps them under a single Certificate of Origin and one invoice.

Do you supply industrial hose for water, air and chemical service in Oman?

Yes. Industrial hose for water, air and chemical service travels on the same consignment as hydraulic hose and fittings, together with the couplings and adapters to terminate it. That suits desalination, utility and workshop buyers along the Batinah coast who would otherwise source the hose, the couplings and the adapters separately. Give us the medium, temperature and pressure so the hose is matched to the service.

How do I request a quote from Muscat or Sohar?

Send part numbers or a description, quantities, the delivery location and your company's commercial registration details through the quote form or by email. The Estimate states the Incoterm — DAP to site, CIF Sohar, FOB Jebel Ali or EXW Dubai for your forwarder — and which lines need a GCC Conformity Mark. Having the CR at quotation means the invoice is built in the consignee's registered name from the start.

Do you supply lay flat hose to Oman?

Yes. TPU lay flat hose goes to Oman for oilfield water transfer, mine dewatering and borehole risers, alongside antistatic fuel-transfer hose and NBR discharge hose. Riser hose is supplied with stainless couplings and, where needed, a powered winding trailer for installing and recovering pumps. Hose ships from Dubai as bulk coils up to 400 m or as made-up assemblies with couplings fitted, with the size table and pressure rating for each bore.
