Supplying Ireland, in detail

Do you route Irish cargo through Britain?

No, and that is deliberate. The UK land bridge became a customs movement through a third country when the UK left the union, so we ship direct from Jebel Ali to Dublin or Cork instead. The consignment stays inside the union and clears once on arrival. It is a few days longer than the old route and materially simpler, with no transit file.

Does Irish conformity paperwork follow EU rules or UK rules?

EU rules. The set is the ordinary European one: a declaration of conformity for hose assemblies above the PED 2014/68/EU threshold, issued by us as the assembler before dispatch, and our REACH position on the elastomer compounds under the EU regime rather than the divergent UK one. Below the PED threshold sound engineering practice applies and there is no mark.

Can you certify hose for a validated pharmaceutical process?

No, and we say so up front. Where your specification names a surface finish, material grade or compound, we state exactly what each item carries at quotation. We supply industrial hose and fittings; we do not certify a hose as suitable for a validated process. That judgement stays with your validation team, which is more useful than a claim that has to be walked back.

Can EN 10204 3.1 material certificates come with an order for a Ringaskiddy or Cork plant?

Yes, where specified, and they should be requested at quotation. In a validated facility a substitution becomes a deviation, so knowing the certification level for each line before the order matters; obtaining it retrospectively ranges from expensive to impossible. Tell us which lines need EN 10204 3.1 and the certificates travel with the goods.

Should our goods land at Dublin or Cork?

Dublin for the east and the midlands, Cork for Munster and the Ringaskiddy plants. Both are direct sailings of 26–32 days from Jebel Ali. The inland leg is short either way, but we choose the port against the delivery town and quote DAP to your site rather than stopping at the quay.

We are near Limerick or the Shannon estuary — can goods come through Shannon Foynes?

Our standard routing lands at Dublin or Cork and delivers by road on DAP terms to sites in Limerick, Shannon and the estuary. If your own forwarder prefers to bring cargo into Shannon Foynes, we quote FOB Jebel Ali or EXW Dubai and prepare the export documents for their booking. Either way the goods clear once into free circulation.

Why do you suggest grouping Irish orders into fewer shipments?

Because the direct sailings to Dublin and Cork are less frequent than the North Sea services, so a consolidated order usually arrives sooner than shipping each line as it is raised. There is no minimum order. Small mixed consignments can also move as LCL through Rotterdam with a feeder, typically 32–42 days, and we say when that suits.

How long does shipping from Jebel Ali to Dublin take, and when is air worth it?

Typically 26–32 days for a full container, direct from Jebel Ali through Suez to Dublin or Cork. Air freight from Dubai into Dublin takes 2–4 days and is worth it when a line is down. For planned maintenance and plant shutdowns, sea freight with the documentation agreed at quotation is the sensible default.

What does the importer need from us to clear goods with Irish Revenue?

The importer raises the entry into free circulation through Irish Revenue on arrival; we supply the commercial invoice, packing list, a Dubai Chamber attested Certificate of Origin, the PED declaration where an assembly is above threshold, our REACH position under the EU regime, and material and test certificates where the order calls for them, all before the vessel sails.

Do you supply deck hydraulics for the Killybegs and Castletownbere fleets?

Yes. Hose assemblies made up to length, fittings, adapters and valves for winches, net haulers, cranes and steering ship to Dublin or Cork and on by road to the harbour. Send the old assembly markings or the drawing, working pressure and fitting standard, and plan around the 26–32 day sea lane before the season rather than during it.

Can you supply Whitegate and the Shannon estuary industrial sites?

Yes. Valves, industrial transfer hose and couplings, and hydraulic hose and fittings for terminal, tank-farm and process maintenance at Whitegate in Cork harbour and the estuary sites around Foynes ship on one consignment and are delivered DAP to the gate. Send the datasheet and any material documentation the site requires so it is confirmed at quotation.

Do you supply umbilical slurry hose and layflat hose to Ireland?

Yes. TPU slurry supply hose from 5" to 16" and heavier-walled drag hose from 2-1/2" to 8" go to Irish contractors running umbilical spreading systems, with slurry couplings that intermate across 4", 5" and 6", tractor-mounted reels and hose movers. Layflat for dewatering and pump discharge is also supplied. Hose ships from Dubai as bulk coils up to 400 m or as made-up assemblies with couplings fitted, with the size table and pressure rating for each bore.
