Supplying Nigeria, in detail

Who supplies hydraulic hose and oilfield equipment to Nigeria from Dubai?

Indus Hydraulics ships hydraulic hose, fittings, adapters, industrial hose, valves, wellhead equipment and flow iron from Jebel Ali to Onne and Lagos. Oilfield cargo is routed to Onne for the Niger Delta bases; general cargo lands at Apapa or Tin Can. Every consignment leaves with the Form M referenced and the SONCAP certificate issued, because neither can be arranged after the goods arrive.

What is SONCAP and who arranges it?

SONCAP is the Standards Organisation of Nigeria conformity programme, and we arrange it from the part numbers on your order. An accredited firm issues a SONCAP Product Certificate against the goods, and SON then issues the SONCAP Certificate that Nigeria Customs will ask for. Both are completed before the vessel sails. Send the full line list at quotation so we can confirm which items fall in scope.

What do you need from us before shipping to Nigeria?

The Form M, raised through your bank. Nothing moves without it, and the PAAR that Nigeria Customs issues before arrival is tied to it. Once the Form M is in place, the SONCAP certification and shipping documents are arranged before the container is loaded, and the Certificate of Origin is attested by the Dubai Chamber.

How long does shipping from Dubai to Onne or Lagos take?

Typically 26–32 days by sea in a full container from dispatch, because the routing runs around the Cape of Good Hope rather than through the Red Sea. Consolidated LCL with transshipment takes 30–38 days. When a line is down, air freight from Dubai into Lagos (LOS) or Port Harcourt (PHC) runs 4–6 days and is quoted per shipment.

Should we ship to Onne or to Lagos?

Onne for oilfield cargo heading to Port Harcourt, Bonny, Warri, Eket or the swamp locations; Lagos (Apapa or Tin Can) for general cargo bound for Lagos, Ibadan and the north. We quote CIF Onne or CIF Lagos, or DAP to your site, and choose the port that shortens the road leg to your delivery address.

Can you deliver to Warri, Eket and the swamp locations?

Yes, on DAP terms to the base or the site gate. The sea leg ends at Onne, and the onward leg to Warri, Eket, Bonny or a swamp location is quoted against the actual address rather than estimated. Tell us the delivery point at quotation and the freight figure will include it.

Can you supply API-monogrammed wellhead and pressure-control equipment?

Yes. We supply API 6A wellhead, API 16A BOP, API 16C choke and kill and API 7K drilling hose, with NACE MR0175 material documentation where the contract requires it. We supply TechnipFMC, Cameron (SLB), SPM, Anson, Stream-Flo and WOM equipment, so OEM wellhead and flow iron can be quoted alongside hydraulic hose on one consignment.

Can you meet Nigerian content requirements on a tender?

We supply the goods and the certification. Where a tender requires Nigerian content, we quote through a locally registered partner rather than claiming a status we do not hold. Tell us at the enquiry stage if the bid is assessed on content, so the quotation is structured correctly from the start.

Can you make up hydraulic hose assemblies to length for Nigerian sites?

Yes. Assemblies are cut, crimped and pressure-tested in Dubai and shipped as finished items, each tagged with the hose, the fitting and the test date. That suits rig, vessel and plant maintenance in the Delta, where a ready-to-fit assembly saves a crimping job on site. Send the hose specification, end fittings, length and orientation.

Which standards do you supply hose and fittings to?

We quote to the standard on your enquiry: SAE and EN hydraulic hose, API 7K rotary and drilling hose, API 6A and 16C pressure-control equipment, and ISO and SAE adapters. Material and test certificates come from the mill or our test bench where the order calls for them. If a requested standard does not match the product, we flag it at quotation.

How do we request a quotation from Nigeria?

Send the full line list with part numbers or specifications, quantities and the delivery address. Quotations are in USD, which matches the Form M and the letter of credit. Lead time is quoted per consignment. Sending the complete list early matters on this lane, because it decides which items need SONCAP and how long certification adds.
