Supplying Norway, in detail

What can a Dubai supplier offer a Stavanger buyer that a Norwegian wholesaler cannot?

Specification stock, not convenience. For a standard item on a short lead time a Norwegian distributor is closer and you should use one. What brings buyers to us is the pattern held here but factory-ordered locally: SS316L thread forms, API-monogrammed assemblies, sour-service material grades with traceable documentation. If your line is ordinary, we will say so rather than quote a three-week sea lane against a local shelf.

Can you quote to the NORSOK material standard our contract names?

Yes, where we can evidence it, and we tell you plainly where we cannot. Give us the standard and its revision at quotation and we confirm, line by line, whether the item carries it and what documentation travels with it — material documentation traceable to heat number from the mill. We will not ship against a specification we cannot document and leave inspection at the supply base to find out.

Is a CE declaration enough for an offshore package, or does NORSOK paperwork come on top?

They answer different questions, so an offshore package may need both. The PED declaration of conformity covers hose assemblies above the PED 2014/68/EU pressure-volume threshold; we issue it as the assembler before dispatch, and below the threshold sound engineering practice applies with no mark. NORSOK material documentation is a contract requirement on top of that, confirmed per product at quotation. One does not substitute for the other.

What sour-service paperwork comes with valves and fittings for NCS work?

NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 documentation, with traceability to heat number where the contract requires it. The level is agreed at quotation, because a certificate tied to the actual heat of material has to be requested before manufacture rather than after delivery. Tell us whether a general certificate of conformity or heat-traceable material certification applies to each line, and we confirm what is obtainable before you commit.

Can you deliver to the supply base at Ågotnes, Stavanger or Hammerfest?

Yes, on DAP terms to the base gate. Sea cargo lands at Stavanger, and the leg on to the Stavanger bases, CCB Ågotnes outside Bergen or Hammerfest in Finnmark is priced with the order, not estimated afterwards. Give us the base, the consignee and any marking or packing rule the base operates, and the paperwork is prepared to match before the vessel sails.

How long does sea freight from Jebel Ali to Stavanger take?

Typically 24–30 days for a full container, from Jebel Ali through Suez and up the Atlantic to Stavanger. Small mixed orders consolidated through a North Sea hub run 30–40 days. Air freight from Dubai into Stavanger (SVG) or Oslo (OSL), with a connection, takes 2–4 days and is the answer when a line is down rather than for planned consumables.

How far ahead should a Norwegian offshore campaign order from Dubai?

Plan on three to four weeks for the sea lane, plus the time to agree documentation at quotation. This is a planned-consumables and project lane rather than a breakdown one. For a turnaround or campaign, send the material list early so the certificate level for each line is settled before goods are picked; for a machine that has stopped, use air freight or a local distributor.

Which documents does Norwegian Customs need for a consignment from Dubai?

The importer raises the customs import declaration through Norwegian Customs before arrival; we supply what it rests on. That is the commercial invoice and packing list, a Certificate of Origin attested by the Dubai Chamber, and, where they apply, the PED declaration, NORSOK material documentation and mill test certificates. We confirm the full document set at quotation so nothing is assembled after the goods have sailed.

Can cargo for Bergen, Mongstad or Kårstø come in somewhere other than Stavanger?

Yes. Stavanger is the default port for the offshore supply bases, but Bergen and Oslo take general cargo, and on DAP terms we deliver to the buyer’s site rather than stopping at the quay. For Mongstad or the Bergen bases we choose the port against the delivery address; for Kårstø the Stavanger landing is usually closest. The routing is stated in the quotation.

Can you make up hose assemblies to length for North Sea deck machinery?

Yes. Assemblies are built to your lengths, fitting orientation and end connections in Dubai, and supplied with material and test certificates from the mill or our test bench before dispatch. Give us the working pressure, media, temperature range and the end standard on the drawing, and say whether NORSOK or sour-service documentation applies, so the certificate level is fixed before the hose is cut.

Do you supply wellhead, valve and flow-iron equipment for Norwegian fields?

Yes. We supply TechnipFMC, Cameron (SLB), SPM, Anson, Stream-Flo and WOM equipment, alongside API-monogrammed assemblies and choke-and-kill hose. For NCS work the questions are the material grade, the sour-service requirement and the documentation level, so send the datasheet and the contract’s named standards at quotation and we state what each item carries before you order.

Do you supply lay flat hose to Norway?

Yes. TPU lay flat hose goes to Norway for tunnel and construction dewatering and temporary water lines, TPU concrete placement hose for tunnelling, and snowmaking hose for ski areas. TPU hose is rated from -50 °C, so it handles cold-weather deployment. Hose ships from Dubai as bulk coils up to 400 m or as made-up assemblies with couplings fitted, with the size table and pressure rating for each bore.
