Hydraulic & industrial hose supplier in Finland

Indus Hydraulics ships from Jebel Ali to Helsinki or Kotka by sea through Suez and the Baltic in 30–38 days, or by air into Helsinki in 2–4 days, with the PED declaration for assemblies above threshold and the importer's EU customs entry. Here the season is part of the quotation: from roughly December to April the northern ports need ice-classed vessels and transit runs 36–48 days, so we state which season each price assumes. The other variable is cold — compounds are chosen for minus thirty, not a Gulf summer.

Typically 30–38 days by sea from dispatch, longer in the ice season

Sequence

How an order to Finland works

  1. 01Send the part numbers, or the bore, thread and pressure if you do not have them. A photo of the failed part is usually enough.
  2. 02We quote in EUR against real stock, with the Incoterm stated on the Estimate rather than assumed.
  3. 03The season is stated on the quotation — whether it assumes open water or ice-classed navigation — and the compound is specified for the working temperature rather than the catalogue default.
  4. 04Goods sail from Jebel Ali through Suez and the Baltic, and you get the paperwork and tracking together.

Questions we get asked

Supplying Finland, in detail

01

Why does a Finnish quotation say whether it assumes open water or ice?

Because between roughly December and April the Gulf of Bothnia ices over and the northern ports need ice-classed navigation, which adds cost and time. Open-water sailings to Helsinki run 30–38 days; in the ice season, northern ports run 36–48 days. A quotation raised in October for a February delivery is therefore not the same quotation, and we state the season it assumes rather than one band that is wrong for half the year.

02

What happens to a standard hose compound at minus thirty in Lapland?

It stiffens, the bend radius effectively grows, and a hose that passed inspection in September fails in January. A compound chosen for a Gulf summer is simply the wrong compound at that temperature. Tell us the working temperature range and we specify for it, with a low-temperature compound statement at quotation, or say plainly that the catalogue item is unsuitable.

03

Does the PED declaration also cover an assembly's low-temperature rating?

No — they answer different questions, so a winter order may need both. For a hose assembly above the pressure-volume threshold in PED 2014/68/EU, we issue the declaration of conformity as the assembler and it travels with the goods; below the threshold sound engineering practice applies and there is no mark. The low-temperature compound statement for the working range is a separate document, issued at quotation per duty.

04

How does cargo reach a Lapland mine such as Kittilä, Kevitsa or Kemi in midwinter?

On DAP terms to the mine or site gate, planned around the ice. Cargo lands at Oulu, subject to ice class in winter, or at Helsinki or Kotka, and the road leg north is long and seasonal, so it is quoted rather than estimated. Give us the site, the consignee and the working temperature, and both the compound and the delivery are planned for a Lapland winter.

05

Which Finnish port should our cargo use between December and April?

Name the delivery town and we will tell you, because in winter the choice narrows. Helsinki and Kotka take most cargo and serve southern industry; Rauma and Oulu serve the west coast and the north but need ice-classed vessels in the ice season. For a site near Oulu, a southern port plus the road leg is sometimes the better winter answer, and the quotation shows which route it assumed.

06

A line has stopped in February — should we fly a part into Helsinki rather than wait for an ice-class sailing?

More often than in other markets, yes. Air freight from Dubai into Helsinki takes 2–4 days, against 36–48 days by sea in the ice season, so the gap is at its widest here and for a stopped line it usually decides the question. For planned work, ordering against the season is the cheaper answer — send winter requirements before the ice closes the northern ports.

07

Why does one hose on our harvester crane keep failing while its neighbours last?

Usually routing, not hose quality. On articulating equipment a hose fails where it is constrained, not where it is loaded: a clamp that forces the bend at the fitting rather than along the free length destroys assemblies indefinitely, and a better hose changes nothing. Send photos and the assembly length; we check free length, bend position and clamping, and would rather solve the geometry than keep supplying replacements.

08

Do you supply hose assemblies to forestry machine builders around Tampere and Vieremä?

Yes — hose, fittings and assemblies for harvester and forwarder cranes, built to the builder's drawing and made up to length. A harvester crane flexes on every movement, so flex life and routing matter as much as pressure; we confirm both at quotation, specify the compound for minus-thirty working, and state the PED position per line for assemblies above threshold.

09

Can you supply hydraulics for icebreakers and ice-class vessels at the Turku, Rauma and Helsinki yards?

Yes — deck machinery, winch, crane and steering hydraulics, with hose made up to length and specified for sub-zero deck temperatures rather than the catalogue default. Yard deliveries go DAP to the shipyard gate. Send the line list, working temperature and end fittings; where the yard specification names a standard, tell us at quotation and we confirm line by line what we can evidence.

10

At Tornio or Raahe, can one machine need both a heat-resistant and a low-temperature hose?

Yes, and it is worth specifying per position. Lines near casting, rolling or furnace equipment need heat resistance, while lines on the same machine that run outdoors or in unheated bays see deep winter cold. One compound for both does one job badly. Tell us where each assembly runs and its temperature range, and cylinders, servo valves and hose go DAP to the works on one order.
