Supplying Denmark, in detail

Can you specify hose for a nacelle, pitch or yaw system by duty cycle rather than part number?

Yes, and it is the better enquiry. Send the flex life, minimum bend radius, temperature range and whether the assembly sits in the nacelle, hub or tower. A hose that meets the bore and pressure but fails the flex life becomes a service visit a hundred metres up, so we specify against the duty, add a flex-life and bend-radius statement where you ask for one, and say plainly when a catalogue compound will not survive the cycle.

Can a service kit be packed and tagged to one turbine's list before the crew leaves Esbjerg?

Yes. Send the turbine-specific list and we build every assembly to it, identify each one against its position and pack the kit as one unit. Offshore, the part is cheap and the vessel, the weather window and the technician time are not, so every assembly on the trip has to be right before departure. It is also worth adding anything marginal while somebody is already up there, rather than scheduling a second visit.

Is it worth paying more for a longer-lived hose than the turbine maker's original part?

Often, yes, for anything offshore or high in the tower. The assembly costs very little against the vessel day and technician time needed to change it, which inverts the usual economics: a construction with a longer flex life or a wider temperature range pays for itself if it saves one visit. Send the original part data and the duty, and we say where an upgrade is justified and where the original is already right.

Can goods go DAP to an Esbjerg offshore or wind base instead of stopping at the Aarhus quay?

Yes. Sea cargo lands at Aarhus and the short road leg to the Esbjerg base is priced with the order, not estimated afterwards. Give us the base, the consignee and any marking or packing rule the base operates, and the paperwork is prepared to match before the vessel sails. When a kit cannot wait for the sea lane, air freight into Copenhagen takes 2–4 days and continues by road.

Our site is on Zealand, near Kalundborg — does that change the port of entry?

It can. Aarhus suits Jutland and most Danish industry, including Fredericia; Copenhagen suits Zealand and the east, including the Kalundborg process estate. Clearance is identical at either port, so the choice is made on the inland leg alone. Tell us the delivery town when you ask for a quotation and we route the cargo to whichever port leaves the shorter road journey, then quote DAP to the site.

Does a full container for Aarhus go round the Skaw, or via Rotterdam like small orders?

A full container sails from Jebel Ali through Suez and round the Skaw to Aarhus, typically 26–32 days from dispatch. Small mixed orders travel as LCL, consolidated via Rotterdam and fed on to Denmark, which takes 32–40 days. When an order is close to filling a container, topping it up to take the full-container route can bring the date forward, and we say when that applies.

Is the PED declaration for a turbine assembly packed with the service kit or sent separately?

It travels with the goods. For a hose assembly above the pressure-volume threshold in PED 2014/68/EU, we issue the declaration of conformity as the assembler before dispatch and it accompanies the consignment, so a kit reaching Esbjerg carries its own paperwork. Below the threshold sound engineering practice applies and there is no mark. Pitch and yaw lines vary in bore and pressure, so we state which side each line falls on at quotation.

Our wind customer wants a flex-life statement — can it come with the REACH and origin documents?

Yes, in one set prepared before the vessel sails: the PED declaration of conformity for any assembly above threshold, the flex-life and bend-radius statement where the duty was specified, our REACH position on the elastomer compounds, and the Certificate of Origin, Dubai Chamber attested. The importer raises the EU customs entry into free circulation through Danish Customs on arrival at Aarhus or Copenhagen, and the goods then move on without another border.

Can piling-rig and excavator hose for the Fehmarnbelt works at Rødby go straight to the site?

Yes, on DAP terms to the site gate — excavator, crane and piling-rig hydraulics, with hose made up to length and fittings matched to the machine. For the tunnel works at Rødby or another Danish civil site, goods land at Copenhagen or Aarhus and the road leg is priced in the order rather than estimated. Send the machine make and model, or the old assembly's dimensions and end fittings, and we quote against them.

Can you supply jack-up and installation-vessel hydraulics for ships working from Esbjerg?

Yes — winch, crane, jacking and deck-machinery hydraulics, with hose made up to length and identified against the vessel's own line numbers where you send them. Goods go DAP to the vessel's base at Esbjerg, or to wherever the vessel is working if that is closer; for a project outside Denmark we often ship direct from Dubai rather than routing through a Danish address.

Which hose cover lasts in the dust around the Aalborg cement works and Danish quarries?

A dust-rated, high-cycle construction specified for the position — we supply cylinders, valves and hose assemblies for crushing, kiln-side handling and quarry plant, where dust and continuous duty shorten the life of a standard cover. Cargo for North Jutland lands at Aarhus and goes DAP to the plant. Tell us where each assembly runs and its working temperature, and we specify the cover and compound for that position rather than the pressure rating alone.

Do you supply slurry hose and lay flat hose to Denmark?

Yes. TPU slurry supply and drag hose goes to Danish contractors for umbilical spreading systems, with slurry couplings, tractor-mounted reels and hose movers, and TPU or NBR lay flat hose for drainage and dewatering. Hose ships from Dubai as bulk coils up to 400 m or as made-up assemblies with couplings fitted, with the size table and pressure rating for each bore.
