TN

Hydraulic & industrial hose supplier in Tunisia

Indus Hydraulics supplies Tunisia from Dubai by sea through Suez into Radès, with Sfax and Bizerte on the same rotation and air freight into Tunis, on a French document set that agrees line by line for technical control at import. Transit to Radès is typically 16–22 days. Tunisian plant is specified the European way, in EN 853, EN 856 and DIN terms, and we quote against those references rather than translating them into SAE. Sfax, Gabès and Zarzis are served on DAP terms with a road leg that is quoted, not estimated.

Questions we get asked

Supplying Tunisia, in detail

01

How long does shipping from Dubai to Radès take?

Typically 16–22 days by sea in a full container from dispatch, routed from Jebel Ali through the Suez Canal into Radès. Sfax and Bizerte are on the same rotation. Consolidated LCL with transshipment takes 22–28 days, and when a line is down, air freight from Dubai into Tunis-Carthage (TUN) runs 4–6 days and is quoted per shipment.

02

Do the documents for Tunisia have to be in French?

Yes, and they have to agree with each other. Technical control happens on arrival against the declared description, so the invoice, the packing list and the declaration must describe the same items in the same terms against the same tariff lines. We prepare the French set and a Certificate of Origin attested by the Dubai Chamber before the vessel sails.

03

Does everything need an import title?

No. Some products need an import title and most do not. Where one is needed, the consignee obtains it through the bank before shipment. We confirm at quotation which lines on your list are affected, so the title and the technical control description are agreed before the container is booked rather than discovered at Radès.

04

Which goods go through technical control at import?

Regulated goods are inspected by the ministry inspection service on arrival rather than at origin, so the declared description decides how quickly a consignment moves. Not every line on a hydraulic order is regulated. We identify at quotation which items fall in scope and make sure the French invoice and packing list describe them exactly as they will be declared.

05

Can you quote against EN 853, EN 856 and DIN references?

Yes. When an enquiry cites EN 853, EN 856 or a DIN fitting reference, we quote against that reference rather than substituting an SAE equivalent and leaving you to check the match. Where a product carries both designations we show both. Where a European standard has no exact counterpart in what we hold, we state what differs instead of offering an approximate substitute.

06

Can you deliver to Sfax, Gabès and Zarzis?

Yes, on DAP terms to the site gate. Sfax can be reached directly on the same sea rotation as Radès; Gabès, Skhira and Zarzis are served by road from the port of discharge, and that leg is quoted against your address rather than estimated. Tell us the delivery point at quotation and the freight figure will include it.

07

Can you supply the Gafsa phosphate basin and the Gabès chemical plants?

Yes. High-cycle cylinders, four-spiral hose, dust-rated valves and crusher-duty components for phosphate mining around Metlaoui, Redeyef and Mdhilla, and acid-resistant industrial hose and valves for the processing plants at Gabès, Skhira and Sfax, with material certificates where the contract calls for them. Deliveries go on DAP terms with the inland road leg quoted.

08

Do you supply oilfield equipment for southern Tunisia and the Gulf of Gabès?

Yes. We supply API 6A wellhead and valves, API 16C choke and kill equipment, high-pressure hose and fittings, with NACE MR0175 documentation where the contract requires it. Makes include TechnipFMC, Cameron (SLB), SPM, Anson, Stream-Flo and WOM. Cargo for the El Borma area and the desert fields lands at Radès or Sfax, with the road leg south quoted.

09

Can you make up hydraulic hose assemblies with metric and DIN fittings?

Yes. Assemblies are cut, crimped and pressure-tested in Dubai on metric DIN 24° cone, BSP or JIC ends as specified, and shipped as finished items tagged with the hose, the fittings and the test date. Send the hose standard, end fittings, length and orientation. Matching the description on the tag to the French invoice also helps at technical control.

10

Do you quote in euros for Tunisian buyers?

Yes. Tunisia is quoted in EUR, which is what most Tunisian buyers work in, and USD is available on request. Quotations are given CIF Radès, DAP to your site, FOB Jebel Ali or EXW Dubai for a nominated forwarder. Lead time is quoted per consignment, and import title requirements are confirmed line by line at the same time.

11

How do we request a quotation from Tunisia?

Send the line list with part numbers or EN, DIN or SAE references, quantities and the delivery address in Tunis, Sfax, Gabès or elsewhere. We return a quotation in EUR with the freight mode and transit, flag any lines needing an import title, and prepare the French document set once the order is accepted. French-language specifications are welcome.
