Supplying Kazakhstan, in detail

How quickly can a hose or valve fly from Dubai to Atyrau, Almaty or Astana?

Typically four to six days from dispatch. Air freight from Dubai into Almaty, Astana or Atyrau is the default for most orders on this lane, and the conformity documents are arranged before the goods leave Dubai so the shipment does not wait on paperwork at arrival. For heavy packages and volume, the Middle Corridor to Aktau is the cheaper alternative at 35–45 days.

When is the Middle Corridor via Aktau the right choice?

For volume and heavy packages, never for a plant-down. The route is sea from Jebel Ali to Poti, rail to Baku, then ferry across the Caspian to Aktau, typically 35–45 days. For oversize and project cargo we also quote a Caspian feeder and then road inland, on a 25–32 day band. Terms such as CIF Aktau or DAP site let you compare either against air freight on landed cost.

Which documents clear an import into Kazakhstan?

An EAC declaration or certificate of conformity under TR CU 010/2011 and TR CU 032/2013, the EAEU customs declaration in the importer’s name, and a Certificate of Origin attested by the Dubai Chamber, with material and test certificates where the order calls for them. Send the part list at quotation and we will say which lines need a certificate, which need only a declaration, and which fall outside the scope entirely.

Does TR CU 032/2013 cover hydraulic hose assemblies?

Yes. TR CU 032/2013 is the Eurasian Economic Union technical regulation for pressure equipment, and hydraulic hose assemblies and accumulators fall inside it; TR CU 010/2011 covers machinery. Not every line in an order is in scope, so we confirm at quotation, product by product, which items need a certificate or a declaration and which do not.

Can we reuse an EAC certificate from another supplier or an earlier shipment?

No. The EAC document is issued in the importer’s name against the specific goods, so it cannot be inherited from a previous consignment or from a different supplier. The practical answer is to send the part list early: the conformity work for Kazakhstan then runs while the order is picked in Dubai, and the document is issued before the goods arrive.

Do you deliver to Tengiz and the field camps beyond Atyrau?

Yes, on DAP terms to the gate. The leg beyond Atyrau or Aktau is quoted per consignment rather than estimated, and site access requirements — passes, delivery windows, a named receiver — need to come with the order. Urgent items can fly to Atyrau in four to six days and complete the journey by road to the field.

Can you supply Kashagan offshore work and Karachaganak in West Kazakhstan?

Yes. Choke and kill assemblies, flow iron, wellhead fittings, rotary and vibrator hose and high-pressure valves, with NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 material certificates where the specification requires them. We supply TechnipFMC, Cameron (SLB), SPM, Anson, Stream-Flo and WOM equipment. Delivery is by air to Atyrau, CIF Aktau, or DAP to a nominated base, with the onward leg quoted.

Why do Caspian projects ask for NACE MR0175 material certificates?

Because the Caspian fields generally require sour-service material, and the certificate is how that is proven. We supply NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 rated items with material certificates from the mill or our test bench, so wellhead, valve and flow-iron components arrive carrying the documentation the contractor’s receiving inspection will ask for, rather than with a promise that it will follow.

Can API wellsite equipment and GOST plant fittings come on the same order?

Yes, and on a landlocked lane that consolidation is worth having. Rotary and vibrator hose, choke and kill assemblies, flow iron and wellhead fittings sit in the same catalogue as the GOST couplings and adapters that serve the workshop and the yard, so one Estimate covers both and they travel in one consignment rather than through two separate procurement exercises.

Are hose assemblies for Kazakh rigs and plant tested before they leave Dubai?

Yes. Assemblies are crimped and pressure-tested in Dubai and shipped as finished items, each tagged with the hose, the fitting and the test date, so nothing has to be made up on site. Because hose assemblies fall under TR CU 032/2013, the EAC position for each assembly is confirmed at quotation alongside the build specification.

Which hose suits winter work in Astana, Karaganda or the northern sites?

Low-temperature hose and seals, specified for the site rather than taken from the standard range. A standard compound stiffens and can crack when flexed in deep cold, which central and northern Kazakhstan reach every winter. Tell us the minimum ambient and whether the hose works outdoors, and we will specify accordingly and say plainly when a catalogue item is unsuitable.
