Supplying Ghana, in detail

Who supplies hydraulic hose and mining spares to Ghana from Dubai?

Indus Hydraulics ships hydraulic hose, fittings, adapters, industrial hose, valves and oilfield equipment from Jebel Ali to Tema and Takoradi. Each consignment leaves with a certificate of conformity issued under the Ghana Standards Authority programme and a Dubai Chamber attested Certificate of Origin. Most of what we ship goes to the gold belt and to offshore oil and gas work out of Takoradi.

Tema or Takoradi?

Tema for general cargo and anything heading to Accra or Kumasi. Takoradi where the delivery is in the gold belt — Tarkwa, Damang, Prestea — or offshore-related, since it saves a long road leg. We quote CIF Tema or CIF Takoradi, or DAP to your site, and pick the port against your delivery address.

Who arranges the certificate of conformity for Ghana?

We do, through an inspection body appointed under the Ghana Standards Authority programme, from the part numbers on the order. The certificate is issued against the consignment before the vessel sails. Customs then raises a classification and valuation report on the declared description and tariff line before arrival, so the invoice description has to be accurate.

How long does shipping from Dubai to Tema take?

Typically 26–32 days by sea in a full container from dispatch, because the routing is around the Cape of Good Hope. Consolidated LCL with transshipment takes 30–38 days. When a line is down, air freight from Dubai into Accra runs 4–6 days and is quoted per shipment.

Can you supply gold mining operations?

Yes. High-cycle cylinders, four-spiral hose, dust-rated valves and crusher-duty components are the bulk of what we ship into the region, with material certificates where the contract calls for them. Tell us the machine and where the assembly runs: a hose that fails every few months usually points to routing, bend radius or cover specification.

Can you deliver to Tarkwa, Obuasi and Ahafo?

Yes, on DAP terms to the mine gate. Tarkwa, Damang and Prestea are normally served through Takoradi; Obuasi and Ahafo can run from either port depending on the route. The leg from Takoradi or Tema is quoted against the actual address rather than estimated.

Do you supply offshore oilfield items for Ghana?

Yes. API 6A, API 16C and API 7K rated equipment with NACE MR0175 documentation where the contract requires it, delivered to Takoradi for the offshore service bases. We supply TechnipFMC, Cameron (SLB), SPM, Anson, Stream-Flo and WOM equipment, so OEM wellhead and flow iron can be quoted on the same consignment.

What is the customs classification and valuation report?

It is the report Ghanaian customs raises before arrival to classify and value the goods on the declared description and tariff line. It depends on the same accurate part list as the certificate of conformity. We quote in USD so the report stays consistent with the invoice, and an accurate list at quotation means neither step adds a day.

Can you make up hose assemblies to length for Ghanaian mines and plant?

Yes. Assemblies are cut, crimped and pressure-tested in Dubai and shipped as finished items, each tagged with the hose, the fitting and the test date. For mobile mining fleets that removes a crimping step on site. Send the hose specification — SAE or EN — with the end fittings, length and orientation.

How do we request a quotation from Ghana?

Send the part list with quantities, the machine or application, and the delivery address in Ghana. We confirm which lines need the certificate of conformity, which port suits the delivery and the freight to site. Quotations are in USD and lead time is quoted per consignment. Our engineering desk will also answer application questions whether or not an order follows.
