Hydraulic & industrial hose supplier in Bolivia

Indus Hydraulics ships hydraulic hose, fittings, valves and industrial hose from Dubai to Bolivia by sea to Arica or Iquique in Chile, then under Chilean bond by road to the Bolivian border, with air freight to Santa Cruz or La Paz, and a Dubai Chamber attested certificate of origin. Two customs files travel with every load and must agree line for line. Most sites sit above three thousand metres, so altitude is part of the specification, not a footnote.

Sequence

How an order to Bolivia works

  1. 01Send the part numbers, or the bore, thread and pressure if you do not have them. A photo of the failed part is usually enough.
  2. 02We quote in USD against real stock, with the Incoterm stated on the Estimate rather than assumed.
  3. 03The Chilean transit documents for the bonded move are raised alongside the Bolivian declaration, and the site altitude is confirmed so the specification is checked against it.
  4. 04Goods sail to Arica and climb over Tambo Quemado, and you get the paperwork and tracking together.

Questions we get asked

Supplying Bolivia, in detail

01

Why does Bolivia take longer than any other lane you run?

Because it is the Pacific lane plus a mountain. The sea leg to Arica or Iquique runs round the Cape of Good Hope and through the Panama Canal, and a bonded road leg then climbs to about four and a half thousand metres before it reaches a Bolivian customs office. Door to door that is typically 45 to 58 days from dispatch for a full load.

02

Which documents clear a bonded consignment through Chile into Bolivia?

Two declarations that must agree line for line: the Chilean transit declaration for the bonded move, raised by the forwarder at Arica or Iquique, and the Bolivian import declaration filed by the importer through Aduana Nacional. Neither country applies a general pre-shipment conformity scheme to industrial hose and fittings. A Spanish packing list matching both declarations and a Dubai Chamber attested certificate of origin complete the file.

03

Should the container discharge at Arica or Iquique?

Whichever has the better sailing for the order and suits the delivery point. Arica connects by road to La Paz over Tambo Quemado and is the default; Iquique is used when its schedule lands better. We confirm the port, the border crossing and the bonded road leg with the forwarder at quotation, so the Chilean transit file is raised for the right route.

04

How long does delivery to La Paz, Oruro or Santa Cruz take?

Typically 45 to 58 days from dispatch for a full load by sea and bonded road, and 52 to 68 days for consolidated LCL. Air freight from Dubai to Santa Cruz (VVI) or La Paz (LPB) takes 6 to 10 days with connections and suits a single critical assembly when a line is down. Lowland sites around Santa Cruz are often better served by air than altiplano ones.

05

Why does a pump suction line cavitate at El Alto or Potosí when it ran fine at sea level?

Because there is less atmospheric pressure pushing fluid into the pump inlet at altitude. A suction line that works at sea level can cavitate at four thousand metres, showing as pitting and noise rather than a leak. The fix is on the inlet side: a larger bore than the calculation suggests, the shortest practical run, fewer fittings, and suction hose that will not collapse under the higher vacuum.

06

Does altitude change what you supply for Bolivian sites?

It changes what we recommend, and it should. Most Bolivian industrial sites sit between three and four and a half thousand metres, where seal compounds, cooling capacity and cycle life all behave differently from the datasheet. Tell us the site and its altitude at quotation, and we flag where a standard specification is the wrong choice rather than supplying to the letter of the part number.

07

Can you deliver to mines beyond Oruro and Potosí?

Yes, on DAP terms to the mine gate, including sites towards Uyuni and San Cristóbal. The leg beyond Oruro or Potosí is quoted rather than estimated, because these are real roads at real altitude with limited services. CIF Arica is also available if your own forwarder manages the bonded move and the Bolivian entry.

08

Is it worth consolidating several orders into one Bolivian consignment?

Strongly. On a lane this long, one consolidated consignment under a single transit declaration lands far better than several small ones, each carrying its own border risk at a crossing four and a half thousand metres up. Group the planned consumables for a quarter or a shutdown, and keep air freight for the genuine emergency.

09

Do you supply valves and flow equipment for the Tarija gas fields?

Yes. We supply TechnipFMC, Cameron (SLB), SPM, Anson, Stream-Flo and WOM equipment — gate and check valves, flow iron and wellhead components — together with hose and fittings for compressor stations and processing plant in Tarija and the southern basin. Send the API specification, pressure class and end connections, and material and test certificates are supplied where the specification requires them.

10

Can you supply lithium and brine operations on the Salar de Uyuni?

Yes — industrial and transfer hose, valves, fittings and hydraulic hose for pumping, brine handling and mobile plant. Brine and salt attack fittings and covers as much as pressure does, and the site sits at about three and a half thousand metres, so tell us the medium, temperature and altitude, and we specify materials and compounds against them at quotation.

11

How do we place an order from Bolivia?

Send the part list or hose markings, the site and its altitude, the delivery town and your preferred Incoterm: DAP to site, CIF Arica, FOB Jebel Ali or EXW Dubai. We quote in US dollars, which also avoids a second conversion at the Chilean transit stage, and agree the Spanish descriptions so both customs declarations match.
