The United States manufactures hydraulics at scale and stocks them densely, so we are no use at all for ordinary domestic product. Where we are useful is the reverse of the usual case: the metric and Eastern-standard fittings that are commonplace in the Gulf and awkward to source in an SAE market.

The awkward standard here is the ordinary one there

An SAE-based supply chain handles JIC, NPT and code-61 flanges without thinking and then stalls on a DIN 2353 bite-type in an unusual tube size, a BSP taper in a large diameter, or a GOST coupling on an imported machine. Those are catalogue items for us because the markets we serve run on them daily. If a piece of imported equipment has arrived with connections nobody locally can match, that is the enquiry worth sending — and a photograph with a caliper reading is usually enough to identify it. For anything a domestic distributor stocks, buy it there.
