Cold takes the flex out before it takes the life out

Every elastomer has a point below which it stops behaving like rubber and starts behaving like plastic. Above it a hose flexes and recovers; below it the same hose is stiff, and bending one that has been sitting outside overnight can crack the tube without leaving a mark on the cover. The failure then appears hours later when the machine warms up and pressurises. Standard compounds are not rated for it and low-temperature ones are, which is a specification choice rather than a quality one. If equipment works through a winter outdoors, the minimum ambient is the number we need, not the working pressure.
