Supplying Ukraine, in detail

How is the delivery time for a Ukrainian order worked out?

Per consignment, against the corridor actually operating when the order is placed. The Danube ports, the Black Sea corridor and the road approaches through Romania and Poland each open and close on circumstances no supplier controls, so a published figure would be invented. We confirm the route and timing at quotation and put them on the Estimate, so the timeline you receive is for that consignment rather than an average that holds for nobody.

Which route will goods for Kyiv, Odesa or Lviv take?

Whichever is running and suits the delivery oblast: Izmail or Reni on the Danube for the south, Constanța and road through Romania, or overland from Poland for the west. We say which at quotation rather than after the goods have moved, and if the confirmed route stops operating before dispatch we tell you before anything moves.

What paperwork does a shipment into Ukraine need?

A Ukrainian customs import declaration, raised by the importer through the State Customs Service before arrival; a declaration of conformity, prepared at origin, where the line falls under a technical regulation; transit documents from the forwarder for whichever Romanian or Polish road leg applies; and a Certificate of Origin attested by the Dubai Chamber. The confirmed routing comes first, because it decides which transit documents are needed.

Can you match the GOST-pattern fittings on older Ukrainian equipment?

Yes. GOST-pattern couplings and adapters are part of the catalogue alongside the metric, BSP, JIC and ORFS ranges, so older plant and newer imported machines can be supplied from one order. Where an interface has to bridge two standards, tell us what is on each end and we will specify the adapter rather than leave it to be improvised at the machine.

Will you deliver to our site in Ukraine, or only to a border point?

DAP to the site where the route allows it, and we will say plainly when it does not. Where the final leg cannot be committed, we quote to a nominated point on the confirmed route and your forwarder takes it from there. Which of the two applies is confirmed per consignment at quotation, not assumed from an earlier shipment.

What does cargo cover include on the way into Ukraine?

It depends on the routing, which is why cover is arranged per consignment. It is priced into the quotation rather than assumed, and we state what is and is not covered before you accept, so you can judge whether it is sufficient or arrange additional cover yourselves — with the scope known in advance rather than discovered after a claim.

Can our own forwarder collect in Dubai and run the lane?

Yes, and it is often the cleaner and faster arrangement. Where a buyer already works with a forwarder they trust on the Ukrainian routes, we quote EXW Dubai or FOB Jebel Ali, prepare the commercial documents, the declaration of conformity where the line is regulated and the attested Certificate of Origin, and hand the goods over. We will suggest it rather than insist on arranging the freight ourselves.

Is air freight possible for urgent parts going to Ukraine?

Where the schedule allows, yes: air freight to the nearest operating airport, then road, quoted per consignment. Whether it beats the sea-and-road or overland options depends on what is running at the time, so for an urgent order we price the alternatives together and say plainly if no air option can be committed.

How do goods reach Lviv and the western oblasts?

Overland from Poland is the route we quote for the western oblasts, and the alternative when the southern corridor is closed. The forwarder raises the transit documents for the Polish leg. How the goods reach the start of that road leg, and the timing end to end, are confirmed per consignment at quotation against what is actually operating.

Can you quote against a reconstruction or utility tender in Ukraine?

Yes. Send the specification and the schedule; we will quote from stock and say plainly where a lead time depends on a route we cannot commit to at the time of quoting. The quotation sets out the confirmed routing, the conformity position line by line and the Incoterm — DAP site where the route allows, CIF the nominated port, FOB Jebel Ali or EXW Dubai.

Can you send hose assemblies made up and tested for repair crews?

Yes. Hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies are made up to length in Dubai, crimped and pressure-tested, and tagged with the hose, fittings and test date, so a repair crew fits them rather than building them. Send lengths, end connections — GOST, metric, BSP or JIC — and working pressure, and they travel on the same confirmed routing as the rest of the consignment.

How do we request a quotation for delivery in Ukraine?

Send the part list, quantities, the delivery oblast or site and whether you already use a forwarder. We reply with a USD quotation that names the routing confirmed for that consignment, the transit and conformity documents it needs, the Incoterm and the cargo cover, and we say plainly where a timing cannot be committed rather than filling the gap with an estimate.
