Rate the bollard for the line, and the deck for the bollard
A bollard is chosen on the safe working load of the lines it will take and the standard the vessel or berth is built to. Its rating assumes it is welded or bolted to structure that can carry the load, so the deck or quay reinforcement matters as much as the casting. The tables give each size with its published load and principal dimensions against the drawing.
Questions we get asked
About this range
- 01What does the nominal size of a marine bollard mean?
- For a double bollard to GB/T 554, ISO 13795 or JIS F 2001, the nominal size is the diameter of the pillar in millimetres; the standard sets the safe working load and dimensions that go with it. Quote the standard, the type and the nominal size on the RFQ.

Delivery
Bollards & Mooring across the Gulf
Ex-stock from Dubai, delivered within 3 working days in the UAE.
Rigging hardware is bought on its working load limit and its certificate, and both travel with the part: every shackle, hook, chain and sling ships from Dubai with the manufacturer's test certificate, so the receiving inspection checks a document against a stamp rather than a claim. Hardware and fittings go by air or courier in cartons; wire rope, chain, hoists and anchors are heavy enough that sea freight is usually the sensible answer.
