Who can supply hydraulic hose and fittings to Kenya from Dubai?

Indus Hydraulics ships hydraulic hose, fittings, adapters, valves, industrial hose and flow iron from Dubai to Kenya. Sea freight from Jebel Ali to Mombasa takes typically 14–18 days by LCL or full container, and air freight reaches Nairobi or Mombasa in three to four days. We arrange the KEBS Certificate of Conformity before the vessel sails, so the consignment arrives at Mombasa ready to clear.

What is PVoC and who arranges the KEBS Certificate of Conformity?

PVoC is Kenya’s Pre-Export Verification of Conformity programme. Regulated goods need a KEBS Certificate of Conformity issued against the specific consignment before it sails, and we arrange it through an appointed agent from the part numbers on the order. Sending a complete part list at quotation lets the verification run in parallel with picking in Dubai rather than after it.

What happens if goods reach Mombasa without a Certificate of Conformity?

They can usually still be released, but only after destination inspection and a penalty. That route costs more than the certificate would have and adds weeks to the delivery, so we do not recommend it. The practical safeguard is to finalise the part list before the container is booked, so the certificate covers exactly what is loaded.

Which documents clear a hydraulic consignment at Mombasa?

Four documents do most of the work: the KEBS Certificate of Conformity issued under PVoC, the Import Declaration Form lodged by the consignee through customs before shipment, a Certificate of Origin attested by Dubai Chamber, and the bill of lading with packing list. Material and test certificates travel with the goods where the order calls for them. The IDF is the buyer’s step, so it is worth starting early.

How long does delivery to Nairobi take?

Fourteen to eighteen days by sea from Jebel Ali to Mombasa, plus the inland leg to Nairobi, which is quoted per shipment rather than estimated. Air freight into Jomo Kenyatta International runs three to four days and suits a single assembly holding up a machine. Dispatch dates are confirmed on the Estimate once stock and the conformity verification are checked.

Can you supply geothermal drilling equipment for Olkaria and Menengai?

Yes. Drilling hose, well control lines, BOP spares and flow iron for geothermal work come from the same catalogue we supply to oilfield operations, rated to API 16C and API 7K. Material and test certificates are supplied where the contract calls for them. Send the well programme or the line list and we will specify against the pressure and temperature rather than a generic rating.

Can you deliver to Turkana and other remote sites?

Yes, on DAP terms to the site gate. Lokichar, the northern Rift and other remote locations are reached by road beyond Nairobi or Eldoret, and that leg is quoted rather than estimated because it depends on the load and the route. Consolidating a site’s requirement into one consignment keeps the conformity work and the road leg to a single trip.

Is air freight to Kenya worth the cost?

For a plant-down, yes: DXB to Nairobi or Mombasa takes three to four days. For a planned order the sea lane costs a fraction of air, and the PVoC verification takes the same time either way. A common split is consumables and stock lines by sea, with the one assembly stopping production sent by air, priced side by side on the same Estimate.

Do you make up hydraulic hose assemblies to length for Kenyan buyers?

Yes. Hose assemblies are cut, crimped and pressure-tested in Dubai to the length and end fittings you specify, then shipped as finished items tagged with the hose, the fitting and the test date. That avoids crimping on site with mismatched dies, and a tagged assembly is easy to reorder by reference when the same machine needs a replacement.

Which hose and fitting standards can you supply to?

We supply hose to SAE J517, EN 853, EN 856 and ISO 18752, with fittings in BSP, JIC, ORFS, NPT and metric threads, so plant from Japanese, European, American and Chinese makers can be matched. Drilling and well control equipment is rated to API 16C and API 7K. If you only have the old fitting, send a photo and a thread measurement and we will identify it.

Do you supply lifting and rigging equipment to Kenya?

Yes. Wire rope and chain slings, shackles, hooks and rigging hardware are supplied for port, construction and plant maintenance work, with test certificates where the order calls for them. Whether a particular line falls under PVoC is confirmed from the part numbers at quotation, and it is verified with the rest of the consignment before the container is loaded.
