A retainer, not a load pin
These pins keep a clevis pin, bolt or hitch pin in place; they do not carry the load. Size them to the hole they pass through and the pin they retain, and choose stainless steel where they will see weather or washdown. A retaining pin that is bent or has lost its spring should be replaced, not refitted.
Questions we get asked
About this range
- 01What is the difference between a lynch pin and an R-clip?
- A lynch pin has a spring ring that snaps over the end of the pin it retains; an R-clip is a single piece of spring wire that clips through a cross-hole and over the pin. Both are quick to fit and remove. A wire lock pin adds a locking wire that swings over the end so it cannot shake out.

Delivery
Rigging Pins across the Gulf
Ex-stock from Dubai, delivered within 3 working days in the UAE.
Rigging hardware is bought on its working load limit and its certificate, and both travel with the part: every shackle, hook, chain and sling ships from Dubai with the manufacturer's test certificate, so the receiving inspection checks a document against a stamp rather than a claim. Hardware and fittings go by air or courier in cartons; wire rope, chain, hoists and anchors are heavy enough that sea freight is usually the sensible answer.
