Universal Air Hose Couplings
Two- and four-lug universal (Chicago / claw) air couplings in American, European and Australian patterns, plus safety whip cables and gaskets.
Universal heads, three patterns
Universal (claw or Chicago-style) couplings lock with lugs and a twist, and every head of the same pattern connects to every other, whatever hose size sits behind it. That is why they are standard on compressor and air-tool lines on construction sites.
The three patterns — American, European and Australian — are made to different dimensions, so match the pattern already in use. Choose hose ends, male or female thread ends, blank ends or three-way heads, and fit a whip check across every connection.

Delivery
Universal Air Hose Couplings across the Gulf
Ex-stock from Dubai, delivered within 3 working days in the UAE.
Industrial hose and the couplings that go on it are usually bought together, and both ship the same way: bulk lengths on the reel, made-up suction and delivery assemblies crated with their couplings already fitted, and loose couplings boxed. Where the duty is food-grade, chemical or steam the certificate is a large part of what is being purchased, so that documentation is prepared before dispatch rather than chased afterwards.

Questions we get asked
About this range
- 01What is a whip check for?
- It is a steel cable looped over both sides of a coupling, or over the hose and the tool, so that if the coupling separates under pressure the hose cannot whip. Fit one at every coupling on a compressed-air line.
- 02Do universal couplings need a gasket?
- Yes — the seal is a gasket in the head. A worn or missing gasket is the usual cause of a leaking universal coupling, and gaskets are on this shelf.
- 03Will a universal coupling connect to a different hose size?
- Yes, within the same pattern: the heads are identical across hose sizes, which is the point of the design. The hose end and its clamp are what change with the bore.

Universal air couplings explained: Chicago, claw and crowfoot, and the clip that holds them
The two-lug claw coupling on every compressor hose is called universal, Chicago and crowfoot, and it comes in American, European and Australian types. How they fit together, and what keeps one from letting go.

Compressed air hose selection: oil mist, temperature and the 40 bar exception
Most air hose on a site is rated 20 bar and looks the same. The differences that matter are the tube against compressor oil, the temperature off the discharge, and how the hose was built.
