Pick the grade (316 for chlorides and sea air, 304 elsewhere), then seamless or welded as the specification requires, then the O.D. and the wall the pressure needs. Compression fittings need annealed tube within their wall range.

Standards

Seamless tube is to ASTM A269 and A213; welded tube to ASTM A269 and A270, with 3-A approval.
