For load securing, never for lifting
A ratchet strap tensions a load down to the vehicle; it is not a sling. Choose on the lashing capacity or working load limit printed on the label, use enough straps for the weight and how the load could move, and protect the webbing from sharp edges. Retire a strap with cut or chemically damaged webbing, a distorted ratchet or a missing label.
Ratings on a tie-down
Load-securing equipment is labelled with its lashing capacity (LC) under EN 12195-2, or in US practice with a working load limit of one third of its breaking strength. The tables show the rating each strap is published with; where only a breaking strength is published, the working figure is confirmed on the quotation.
Questions we get asked
About this range
- 01How many ratchet straps do I need?
- Enough that their combined rating covers the load and how it can move under braking, cornering and acceleration — it depends on the load, the vehicle and the lashing method. Use at least two for any load, and follow the load-securing rules that apply where you operate.

Ratchet Straps & Tie-Downs across the Gulf
Ex-stock from Dubai, delivered within 3 working days in the UAE.
Rigging hardware is bought on its working load limit and its certificate, and both travel with the part: every shackle, hook, chain and sling ships from Dubai with the manufacturer's test certificate, so the receiving inspection checks a document against a stamp rather than a claim. Hardware and fittings go by air or courier in cartons; wire rope, chain, hoists and anchors are heavy enough that sea freight is usually the sensible answer.
