What is the working load limit?

50 to 19,800 kg, depending on size, as the manufacturer rates it. The WLL is the most the part may carry in service; proof and breaking loads are test figures and never working limits.

Why do hook-end turnbuckles have a lower WLL?

The hook is the weaker end fitting, so a turnbuckle with hook ends is rated below the same body with eye or jaw ends. The US turnbuckle table gives both ratings.

Do the parts come with a test certificate?

Yes. Each consignment ships with the manufacturer's test certificate. For third-party certification or witnessed proof testing, say so on the RFQ.

Choosing a size

Choose on WLL with the end fittings you will use — hook ends rate lower than eyes or jaws — and on the take-up length you need. Lock the body once tensioned so it cannot back off.

Quote the Indus part number from the size table, or send the size and rating you need. Each consignment ships with the manufacturer's test certificate; say on the RFQ if your site needs anything more.
