Product description
Lever hoist (lever block) for lifting, pulling and tensioning in any position. A ratchet lever drives the load chain through a geared sheave, and an automatic brake holds the load when the lever is released.
Sizes and ratings
7 sizes, 0.5 t to 6 t. Rated load 0.5 to 6 t. Every size has its own Indus part number in the table below, with the loads in the unit the manufacturer rates them in. The lettered dimensions refer to the dimension drawing in the gallery.
Choosing a size
Choose by capacity and by the standard lift, and say on the RFQ if you need a longer load chain. A lever hoist pulls in any direction, so it also serves for tensioning and positioning; it is never used with an extension on the lever.
Ordering
Quote the Indus part number from the size table, or send the size and working load you need. Each consignment ships with the manufacturer's test certificate; say on the RFQ if your site needs anything more.

Size — Nominal size as the manufacturer states it. WLL — Working load limit — the most the part may carry in service, as the manufacturer rates it. Standard lift — Lift supplied as standard; longer lifts to order. Load chain — Diameter of the load chain. Falls — Number of falls of load chain. A — Dimension A on the manufacturer dimension drawing. B — Dimension B on the manufacturer dimension drawing. C — Dimension C on the manufacturer dimension drawing. Weight — Weight as the manufacturer publishes it. Ask us for the dimension drawing if you need it stamped.
WLL is the most the part may carry in service. Proof and breaking loads are test figures — never lift to them. Each load is shown in the unit the manufacturer rates the part in, and a size ships with the manufacturer’s test certificate.

Rigging for plant shutdowns and turnarounds: lifting points, chain blocks and certified kit
A shutdown compresses months of maintenance into weeks, and much of it is lifting: pump motors out, exchanger bundles pulled, valves swapped, in congested units with no room for a crane. The rigging that makes it possible — lifting points, chain blocks, lever hoists, beam clamps and trolleys — how to plan and certify it before the unit comes down, and how to keep the register straight when hundreds of items come and go.

Lifting chillers and rooftop plant: rigging HVAC and MEP equipment safely
Chillers, cooling towers, AHUs and generators are heavy, top-heavy, fragile and lifted onto roofs where there is no room for error. How MEP contractors rig them — designated lifting points, spreaders to keep slings off the casing, round slings and shackles, tandem lifts and lift plans — and how chain blocks and beam trolleys finish the job inside the plant room.

Rigging kit for a new site: what to order when mobilising in the UAE and GCC
A new project needs a rigging loft before the first lift: slings, shackles, hooks, chain blocks, tag lines, and a register to track them. What to order, in what mix, how to size it to your cranes and lifts, and how to set up the store, register and inspection cycle so the kit passes its first third-party examination — with an example starter list for a mid-size building site.
