Product description
Hand chain block built in 304 or 316 stainless steel, for lifting in clean rooms, food and pharmaceutical plants and in wet or corrosive areas where a painted steel block would rust.
Sizes and ratings
6 sizes, 0.5 t to 5 t. Rated load 0.5 to 5 t. Every size has its own Indus part number in the table below, with the loads in the unit the manufacturer rates them in.
Choosing a size
Choose by capacity and by the height of lift you need; the standard lift is listed, and longer load and hand chains are made to order. Hang the block from a rated anchorage and keep the load in line under the top hook. State 304 or 316 on the RFQ.
Ordering
Quote the Indus part number from the size table, or send the size and working load you need. Each consignment ships with the manufacturer's test certificate; say on the RFQ if your site needs anything more.

Size — Nominal size as the manufacturer states it. WLL — Working load limit — the most the part may carry in service, as the manufacturer rates it. Proof load — Proof or test load the manufacturer applies to the part. A test figure — never a working limit. Standard lift — Lift supplied as standard; longer lifts to order. Load chain — Diameter of the load chain. Min. hook distance — Headroom — the closest the two hooks come. A — Dimension A on the manufacturer dimension drawing. B — Dimension B on the manufacturer dimension drawing. C — Dimension C on the manufacturer dimension drawing. D — Dimension D on the manufacturer dimension drawing. Weight — Weight as the manufacturer publishes it. Ask us for the dimension drawing if you need it stamped.
