Is mining chain rated for lifting?

No. Mining and conveyor chain is specified by its test force, minimum breaking force and fatigue class for running in conveyors and mining machinery. It carries no working load limit and is not used for lifting; lifting calls for Grade 80 or Grade 100 alloy chain.

Do the parts come with a test certificate?

Yes. Each consignment ships with the manufacturer's test certificate. For third-party certification or witnessed proof testing, say so on the RFQ.

Product description

Round link conveyor chain with DIN 22252 link dimensions, made in three heat-treated versions for abrasive service: low-temperature tempered G90 for the highest strength, quenched and tempered G60, and case-hardened G40 with a hard wearing surface.

13 sizes in 39 size and grade combinations, 14 × 50 mm to 42 × 146 mm. Minimum breaking force 123 to 2,495 kN; test force is listed for each size and grade. Every row has its own Indus part number in the table below.

Choosing a size

Choose the version by duty: G90 where breaking force matters most, G40 where abrasive wear is the main enemy, G60 between the two. Each size is listed with the test and minimum breaking force of each version. It is conveyor and mining machinery chain, rated by test and breaking force; it is not lifting chain and carries no working load limit.

Ordering

Quote the Indus part number from the table, or send the size and grade you need. Each consignment ships with the manufacturer's test certificate; say on the RFQ if your site needs anything more.
