Is mining chain rated for lifting?

No. Mining and conveyor chain is specified by its test force, minimum breaking force and fatigue class for running in conveyors and mining machinery. It carries no working load limit and is not used for lifting; lifting calls for Grade 80 or Grade 100 alloy chain.

What do grades B, C and D mean?

They are the strength classes of DIN 22252 round steel chain, rising from B to D: each step raises the test and breaking forces and the fatigue resistance for the same size. Grade C++ is a supplier class above C. Match the grade to the conveyor maker's specification.

Do the parts come with a test certificate?

Yes. Each consignment ships with the manufacturer's test certificate. For third-party certification or witnessed proof testing, say so on the RFQ.

Calibrated round steel link chain to DIN 22252 for armoured face conveyors, beam stage loaders, roadheaders and coal ploughs, from 14 × 50 mm to 42 × 146 mm. Made in alloy steel, heat treated, in strength grades B, C, C++ and D.

Choosing a size

Each size is listed by grade with its test force and minimum breaking force, beside the link dimensions. Order by size (diameter × pitch) and grade, and in matched lengths where the conveyor runs twin strands. It is conveyor and mining machinery chain, rated by test and breaking force; it is not lifting chain and carries no working load limit.

Ordering

Quote the Indus part number from the table, or send the size and grade you need. Each consignment ships with the manufacturer's test certificate; say on the RFQ if your site needs anything more.
