Product description
The Steel BSPT Male × NPTF Female Adapter is a straight adapter, in forged carbon steel, trivalent zinc plated. Its ends are BSPT male and NPTF (Dryseal) female. BSP adapters join British Standard Pipe ports, common on European and Asian equipment, to JIC, NPT and ORB lines.
Construction
- Body: straight adapter
- End 1: BSPT male
- End 2: NPTF (Dryseal) female
- Material: forged carbon steel, trivalent zinc plated
Ends and sealing
- BSPT: BSP taper thread that seals on the thread flanks; ISO 7-1.
- NPTF (Dryseal): Dryseal taper pipe thread, cut so the crests and roots close up as the joint is tightened, so it seals on the thread; ASME B1.20.3.
Sizes
18 part numbers, 1/8" to 3". The Sizes & Part Numbers tab lists the size on each end for every one.
- End 1: BSPT, 1/8" to 3" (R1/8-28 to R3-11)
- End 2: NPTF (Dryseal), 1/8" to 3" (1/8-27 to 3-8)
Pressure rating
The manufacturer publishes no pressure rating for this family. Tell us the working pressure your line sees and we will confirm the fitting is rated for it before you order.
Stainless-steel version
The same configuration in 316 stainless steel: Stainless Steel BSPT Male × NPT Female Adapter.
How to order
Quote the Indus part number from the size table. If you only have the fitting, send the thread or tube size on each end, and Indus engineering will confirm the part number. Price and lead time are confirmed with the quotation.

BSPP bonded seals and dowty washers: getting the size right
A bonded seal is sized by the thread it sits under, not by the bore of the fitting or the size printed on the box. That one sentence resolves most of the confusion.
