Product description
Thermoplastic hydraulic hose to SAE 100R18 with a low-friction black polyester cover, for forklifts and for industrial and agricultural machines working in the cold or through quick temperature swings.
Construction
- Tube: polyester elastomer
- Reinforcement: one or two synthetic-fibre braids
- Cover: low-friction polyester, black, not pin-pricked
- Temperature: −67 °F to 212 °F (−55 °C to 100 °C)
- SAE 100R18 specifies 3,000 psi working pressure in every size
Pressure
SAE J517 100R18 sets a 3,000 psi working pressure for every size from 3/16" to 1"; the manufacturer publishes no separate figure. Use fittings made for thermoplastic hose.
Sizes and supply
6 part numbers, 3/16" to 5/8". Each part number is one size in one supply form; the Sizes & Part Numbers tab lists them.
How to order

Swollen or hardened tube: reading fluid incompatibility off the failure
Cut a failed hose open and the tube tells you whether the fluid was wrong. Swollen and soft is one problem, shrunken and brittle is the opposite one, and both mean the hose and the fluid were never suited.

Cover blistering and pinholes: usually permeation, not a defect
A bubble under the cover looks like a manufacturing fault and normally is not. It is gas that got through the tube and could not get out through the cover — which tells you something specific about the fluid and the duty.
