HYDAC 0160 DN 010 BN4HC Pressure Filter Element, 10 µm, DIN 24550

The HYDAC 0160 DN 010 BN4HC is a pressure-line filter element built to DIN 24550. It is the replacement element for HYDAC's DFN, DFNF, LFN and LFNF inline filters, and the 0160 size fits the DFN 160 housing. It is not a suction filter, and 0160 is the element size, not a flow rating — both errors this page used to carry.

With no suffix it has NBR seals and no bypass; /-V gives FPM seals. HYDAC also makes the same element in BH4HC media, rated to 210 bar differential, for duties where the element may see high differential pressure.

The housing

The DFN 160 is an inline pressure filter to DIN 24550, rated 210 bar nominal. It comes without a bypass valve as standard (7 bar optional) and with a port for a clogging indicator, set to 5 bar as standard. HYDAC lists it for mineral hydraulic oils, lubricating and compressor oils, biodegradable HETG, HEES and HEPG fluids and fire-resistant HFA to HFD fluids.
