DEMCO Square-Nut Handle for Butterfly Valves, 2″–12″

The DEMCO square-nut operator replaces the lever handle with a 2″ × 2″ × 1¼″ ductile-iron square nut, mounted on a 2.0″ square × 2.25″ tall hub with a 1.25″ pedestal. Operated with a buried-service "T-key" wrench from grade level. The standard configuration for buried, kerb-stop, and below-grade DEMCO butterfly-valve installations in water- and waste-water service. Available in standard trim only — the application doesn't typically require corrosion-resistant or sanitary trim levels.

What it does

Replaces the manual lever handle with a 2″ square-nut operator for buried, below-grade and confined-access installations — operated from grade with a T-key valve wrench rather than direct hand contact.

• Compatible valve series: NE-C, NE-I, NE-I Sanitary, NE-D, NEI-T (any 2″–12″ DEMCO butterfly valve)
• Compatible valve sizes: 2″–4″, 5″–6″, 8″–12″

Configuration & trim

Specify frame size matching your valve. The square nut is fixed-torque only — for repeatable throttle positions, use the memory-stop handle instead.
