Product description
The Steel Flareless Tube × NPTF Female Connector is a straight connector for inch hydraulic tube, in forged carbon steel with trivalent zinc plating. Its ends are flareless tube end, NPTF female. Flareless fittings join plain-end tube without flaring it, which saves time on thick-wall tube and in tight spaces.
Ends and sealing
- flareless tube end: flareless bite-type tube end: the sleeve bites into plain tube as the nut is tightened, so the tube needs no flare; SAE J514.
- NPTF: Dryseal taper pipe thread that seals on the thread; ASME B1.20.3.

Pressure rating
The manufacturer publishes no pressure rating for this family. The rating depends on the tube wall as well as the fitting; tell us the tube and working pressure and we will confirm it.
Making up the joint
Cut the tube square, deburr it, and preset or tighten the sleeve as the fitting maker specifies; keep nuts and sleeves from this range with these bodies.
