Brass SAE 45° Flare Male × NPTF Female 90° Elbow

The Brass SAE 45° Flare Male × NPTF Female 90° Elbow is a 90° elbow, in CA360 brass (C36000 free-machining brass). Its ends are SAE 45° flare male and NPTF (Dryseal) female. SAE 45° flare fittings carry a 45° flare on the male and a 45° cone seat in the female; the manufacturer recommends them for low- and medium-pressure lines.

Ends and sealing

• SAE 45° flare: 45° flare on the male seating in the 45° cone of the female, metal to metal; SAE J512.
• NPTF (Dryseal): Dryseal taper pipe thread, cut so the crests and roots close up as the joint is tightened, so it seals on the thread; ASME B1.20.3.
