About the family

Clamps, sleeves and ferrules are the retention hardware that holds an industrial hose onto its fitting. The range covers crimp sleeves and ferrules for KC nipples and cam & groove shanks, double- and single-bolt clamps, interlocking clamps, safety clamps to EN 14420-3 / DIN 2817, sanitary tri-clamps for food and pharmaceutical lines, and segment clamps for Storz, frac-water and agricultural drag-hose couplings.

What it connects to

Crimp sleeves and ferrules are swaged permanently onto the hose over a matching shank and are selected by hose outside diameter, so the same nominal size is offered in several bore combinations. Bolt clamps, interlocking clamps and safety clamps are mechanical and can be released and re-made in the field. Sanitary tri-clamps close over the flanged ferrules of a hygienic line, and segment clamps close around the body of a Storz, frac-water or drag-hose coupling.

Where it is used

This hardware is what actually keeps an industrial hose on its fitting. It is specified alongside the coupling, not after it: the clamp or ferrule has to suit the hose construction, the working pressure and whether the assembly will ever be taken apart again. The range spans compressed-air and steam lines, chemical and bulk-transfer hose, food and pharmaceutical process lines, fire-service Storz connections, frac-water couplings and agricultural drag hose.

Selection and service notes

Match the retention to the duty. A crimped ferrule gives the highest pressure rating and the smallest outside profile but needs a crimping machine and cannot be re-used. A bolt or safety clamp can be built and rebuilt on site with hand tools, which is why EN 14420-3 / DIN 2817 assemblies remain standard on chemical and tanker hose. On hygienic lines the bolted and three-segment clamps carry more pressure than a single-hinge clamp and are the ones to specify where temperature cycling or PTFE gaskets are involved.
