Molykote L-5030 Semi-Dry Lubricant

Molykote L-5030 Semi-Dry Lubricant — A liquid, semi-dry lubricant formulated without intentionally added PFAS, compatible with a wide range of plastics and elastomers. It rapidly forms a thin, semi-dry lubricating film on the substrate to facilitate assembly, reduce assembly force and improve component fit, minimize wear and fretting corrosion, and deliver reliable, long-lasting lubricity.
Key features
- Product Type: Dispersion
- Operating Temperature Range: -40 °C to 100 (intermittent use at 150 °C) °C

About this type of lubricant
A dispersion is solid lubricant — usually molybdenum disulfide, graphite or PTFE — suspended in a carrier oil or solvent so it can be brushed, sprayed, dipped or added to an oil system. The carrier delivers the solids to the surface and then evaporates or blends away, leaving the solid lubricant behind.
How to choose
Dispersions are used for running-in, for pre-treating surfaces before first operation, and as an additive to an existing oil charge to carry a machine through break-in or a period of marginal lubrication. Where a dispersion is added to a circulating system, confirm compatibility with the filtration first — solid lubricant particles and fine filters do not agree.
How to order
Specify the pack size and, where more than one grade shares a name, the exact grade on the RFQ. Indus Hydraulics is an authorised distributor and quotes MOLYKOTE® from Dubai stock where the grade is held; less common grades ship to order. Our engineers will confirm the grade against your application and operating conditions before you commit.
