Product description
A KHB-G1/2 block-type ball valve for high-pressure hydraulic lines, with G 1/2 BSPP (ISO 228) female ports. KHB is HYDAC's designation for its block ball valves from DN 4 to DN 25, and valves to the same pattern are made by others. We supply genuine HYDAC or a KHB-pattern valve to the same rating — say which on the RFQ.
A ball is the shut-off element, turned by the lever through a quarter turn. The valve can be fitted in any orientation and flow can run either way. This listing previously named Bosch Rexroth; the KHB range and its published data are HYDAC’s.
Two G 1/2 bores
- DN13 (12 mm bore): PN 500 bar in steel or stainless steel; 0.59 kg and 84 mm long in steel
- DN16 (15 mm bore): PN 420 bar in steel, 400 bar in stainless; 0.70 kg and 83 mm long in steel
This listing is the DN13, PN 500 version; the DN16 is supplied to order.
Materials
HYDAC's order code gives four material digits: housing, ball and spindle, ball sealing cups, and spindle and connection seals. 1112 is the standard build — steel housing, steel ball and spindle, POM sealing cups, NBR seals. The options are:
- Housing: steel, zinc plated (standard) or zinc-nickel; or stainless steel
- Ball and spindle: steel, stainless steel or hardened steel
- Sealing cups: POM, PTFE, PEEK or steel
- Seals: NBR, PTFE or FKM
PTFE seals or cups limit the valve to 100 bar.
Service
Mineral oil to DIN 51524 parts 1 and 2, with fluid and ambient temperatures from −10 to +80 °C (−40 °C with the TT option, stainless only). Options include an actuator, limit switches, a lock and, as SO940, four fixing holes for panel mounting. The seal kit for the DN13 is HYDAC 703 046.
Ordering
Give the bore (DN13 or DN16), materials, seals and any options on your RFQ, and say whether you need genuine HYDAC. Bosch Rexroth also lists a KHB G 1/2 valve as material no. R901082383; quote that number if your drawing calls for it.
