Molykote G-8101 Grease — MOLYKOTE® G-8101 Grease is an extreme high temperature grade PFPE grease with much lower evaporation than normal PFPE grease. G-8101 Grease has been tested by BAM and approved for the use in oxygen rich environments e.g. in pumps, valves, compressors. The test results ensure that G-8101 Grease is safe and stable when exposed to oxygen under high pressure and elevated temperatures e.g. under 50 bars at 60 °C or 25 bars at 300 °C.

Features & benefits
- • Excellent stability at high temperatures• Minimal deterioration due to oxidation, appropriate for long- term lubrication• Very low vaporization loss• Superior resistance to chemicals and solvents• Compatible with most plastics
Applications
Recommended for various bearing applications under high temperature conditions, include textile stenter chains, drying cylinder, automotive painting line and corrugated roll bearings in corrugators; Also applicable for metal moving parts (guide pin, ejector pin, slider part) of high temperature engineering plastic(PEI, PAI, PTFE, PSF) injection molding tooling;A good choice for equipment lubrication in vacuum or cleanroom condition due to its very low vaporation loss performance.

About this type of lubricant
A grease is a base oil held in a thickener, so it stays where it is put instead of draining away. The thickener (lithium, lithium complex, calcium sulfonate, polyurea or a clay) sets the upper service temperature and the water resistance; the base oil — mineral, PAO, ester, silicone or PFPE — sets the low-temperature behaviour and the chemical compatibility. Molykote greases add solid lubricants such as molybdenum disulfide, graphite or PTFE, which carry the load in the moments when the oil film is too thin to: start-up, shock load, slow oscillation.
How to choose
Match four things in order: the service temperature range, the speed and load, whether the point sees water or chemicals, and what the grease touches. Plastic and elastomer components rule out many mineral-oil greases; food-contact points need an H1-registered grade; slow, heavily loaded or oscillating joints are where the solid-lubricant content earns its cost. NLGI grade is consistency, not quality — a lower number is softer and pumps more easily, a higher number stays put in an open or vertical point. Never mix thickener types in the same point: incompatible thickeners can soften and run out.
How to order
Specify the pack size and, where more than one grade shares a name, the exact grade on the RFQ. Indus Hydraulics is an authorised distributor and quotes MOLYKOTE® from Dubai stock where the grade is held; less common grades ship to order. Our engineers will confirm the grade against your application and operating conditions before you commit.
