Does this seat fit a DM 7500 valve?

No. The DM 7500 uses a different design: a ring-type seat insert that runs against two separate body wear rings. See our DM 7500 seat inserts for those valves.

Which elastomer should I choose?

Buna-N (nitrile) is the standard for water- and oil-based drilling mud. Viton is chosen for higher temperatures and aromatic or aggressive fluids. State the fluid and temperature on the RFQ if you are unsure.

Which insert materials are there?

Demco lists DM 2000–5000 seats with ductile iron, steel or 316 stainless inserts, each with Buna-N or Viton. Steel with Buna-N is the common drilling-mud seat.

Are these parts supplied new?

Yes. We supply new parts, genuine Cameron (Demco) or interchangeable aftermarket to the same dimensions, as you specify on the RFQ.

How do I identify a DM 2000–5000 seat assembly?

It is one piece: a black elastomer body with two locating pins, a slot for the gate and two metal wear inserts moulded in. DM 7500 valves use a separate ring-type insert with body wear rings instead. Demco numbers these seats with four digits, 1876-021 on the 2″ steel/Buna-N seat, and Cameron adds a J00 prefix.

Product description

A one-piece seat assembly for 2″ Demco DM mud gate valves rated 2,000, 3,000 and 5,000 psi. Two metal wear inserts are moulded into an elastomer plug that carries the gate slot and both flow ports. The pins locate it in the body, and it seals on both sides of the gate. We supply new parts: genuine Cameron (Demco) where you need OEM, or interchangeable aftermarket parts made to the same dimensions — say which on the RFQ.
