The 316 Stainless Steel Butt-Weld Cap, Sch 40 is a cap in 316 stainless steel, wrought. Butt-weld fittings give a smooth bore and a joint as strong as the pipe, for process, chemical, food and water piping.

Pressure rating
Butt-weld fittings to ASME B16.9 are rated to the pipe they are welded to: a Sch 40 fitting holds what Sch 40 pipe of the same grade holds. Sch 10 has a thinner wall than Sch 40.
