Product description

The Brass Air Brake × NPTF Male Run Tee for Nylon Tubing is a run tee, in CA360 brass (C36000 free-machining brass). Its ends are air brake tube end (nylon tubing), NPTF (Dryseal) male and air brake tube end (nylon tubing). Air brake fittings like this are made for truck and bus compressed-air brake systems plumbed with nylon tubing; the manufacturer states the range is DOT approved.

Construction

  • Body: run tee
  • End 1: air brake tube end (nylon tubing)
  • End 2: NPTF (Dryseal) male
  • End 3: air brake tube end (nylon tubing)
  • Material: CA360 brass (C36000 free-machining brass)

Ends and sealing

  • air brake tube end (nylon tubing): compression air brake joint for nylon tubing: the nut squeezes a brass sleeve onto the tube, and a brass tube insert supports the bore.
  • NPTF (Dryseal): Dryseal taper pipe thread, cut so the crests and roots close up as the joint is tightened, so it seals on the thread; ASME B1.20.3.

Sizes

10 part numbers, 1/4" to 3/4" tube. The Sizes & Part Numbers tab lists the size on each end for every one.

  • End 1: air brake tube end (nylon tubing), 1/4" to 3/4"
  • End 2: NPTF (Dryseal), 1/8" to 3/4" (1/8-27 to 3/4-14)
  • End 3: air brake tube end (nylon tubing), 1/4" to 3/4"
